Hi Froggitt, loved the trip report, want to try that soup now, sounds lovely.

Did the phones come in useful, were you able to top them up ok?

My vegas trip planning is on hold for this year because I'm trying to get myself debt free again and accrue some savings, so I'm trying to be sensible but its hard.:o

In the meantime I'll just keep to enjoying everyone's posts and reports.

    Anyone tried either?
ok, this is probably of no use as it was an evening meal from December 2006...and not sure how much it's changed in the past 3 years (apart from no longer doing dinner!)...

We went around 7pm, the missus had 'Penne Arribiata', I had 'Spaghetti Carbonara' and the missus had a 'Pyramid' for dessert!(?)

Was all very nice, though as I I mentioned, it seems oddly placed (hanging off the side of a corridor) - didn't affect it much but meant it was quiet as you'd only know it was there if you were heading off to The Hotel (or were lost as we were! :) )

Service quick and friendly - i'd place it as an average kinda place (which isn't a bad thing! especially if you have a restaurant.com voucher! :) ) - definitely let us know how you get on! :)

Just need a quick bit of advice on prices guys and gals' if anyone has any to give.

I've priced up a trip to Vegas for april, 8 nights at CC, flying direct with Virgin. With vouchers/quidco etc, it's coming out at £503.25 pp.

I know I got an absolute steal last time I went to Vegas and paid only £380 for 5 nights (albeit indirect) but I also understand that prices have risen since I last went. Would folk suggest this is a reasonable price? Think I might pluck for it if people think so. Ta's in advance :)
Comping since oct 09' === October wins : Vodkat Cocktail Kit, £50 bonkers!, Peroni Bottle Opener x 2, Brit Chicks Merchandise
November wins : Peroni Bottle Opener x 2, Ocean's 13 DVD, Monsters Vs Aleins DVD, £5 Voucher

That looks OK.. How much is flight on its own? 8 nights at CC could prob be had for about $200 so about £130

Make sure that quote isnt for the Manor lodges out the back

Flight on it's own is £460. It is for the manor room but I've stayed at CC before and the $20 tip trick worked nicely when I had a manor room booked then so I'd be gambling on that again :) In the spirit of Vegas and all...

Our trip for June is slowly taking place.
So far we've got 2 hotels booked, 5 nights at MGM Grand ($500), then 7 nights at Signature ($1100ish)
Currency booked at 1.67 with Crown for delivery in May.

    Hi WestHamDaz,
After reading your post I checked out Crown Currency's website. It looks quite good and the rate would be 1.67 for me too if I booked soon.
My question is - have you used them before?
I am a bit wary of sending them all my spending money and not getting anything till a week before we travel....
Does everyone on here use them?!......
    Thanks.
    Steff;)

Looks a good price then as long as you get in a tower. I know most people hate CC but I dont mind it, and think the tower rooms are OK

We used Crown last year for our $s (first time user). Perfect in every way - I was extremely nervous as they only take bank transfers for payment, not c/cards or anything, but I followed the instructions to the letter, kept screenshots of everything I sent them and their email chains were excellent - gave me peace of mind.

If you book for a Monday delivery very often it's sent on a Friday... and can turn up on a Saturday morning (it's always sent out by Special Delivery) - saves having to wait in on the Monday!

I will use them again for this year's spending money :-)

TI - I'm looking to book 5 days there in Sept, but does anyone have problems with the guestbook-only special offers? I'm signed up to the guestbook offers; when I try and search for said offers, it prompts me to log in. I reconfirm my email address, and it authenticates me and agrees I'm signed in... then I go to the 'click here for special rates' option, and start the loop again!

If anyone else has access could they check 7-12 Sept for me, please (5 nights)?
