I've read some reviews on tripadvisor about it being quite noisy at night due to the club/bar

I doubt it will be much of an issue for me as I'll sleep through anything but my partner is different. To be honest, it does look like an amazing hotel. I think my decision is made! Wynn it is! thank you all for your help!

P.S Has anyone ever used the $20 trick there? Is it even worth trying seeing as the rooms looks really nice and are big anyway?

The noise shouldnt be a problem if you ask for a high floor.

There is new club opening up at Encore in a couple of weeks, Memorial Day weekend...Surrender Nightclub and Encore Beach Club. Ne-Yo will be opening it.

Just having a quick look at hot deals rates (since they're all in one place it's easy to check)- Imperial Palace is $162 for a deluxe room, Flamingo hot deals rates for your dates are $252 for a deluxe room...both would be in the lower end of your price range. Flamingo has a good pool and (I think) might suit a 21-year old slightly better. Both are well located, etc. Planet Hollywood is within your price range but on the higher side of it - about $450...I think PH would appeal to a younger crowd generally, but I think I've read the pool isn't great.

In any event, I am sure you will have fun looking. :)

Also, Wynn has one of the highest overall ratings of any hotel in Vegas - you'll always have people who have an issue with something or another. We stayed there once and didn't hear a peep (we were on the 58th floor though :))

I booked Wynn Encore a few hours ago. Very happy with the choice! I'll see if they can place us on a higher floor when we arrive. :T Thank you to everyone who helped me with the decision! I'll probably have more questions to ask later when I start planning my rough itinerary of things I want to do whilst in Vegas :j

ITRUK congratulations on getting hitched! My boyfriend wants to get married in vegas too... not just yet for us though!

Hey guy's. Me and my ladyfriend are planning on getting hitched in Vegas next month :j everything is booked execpt a meal for the evening meal.
We're aware the popular places need booking in advance so i'd thought of doing it soon as we hopefully fly at the start of June.
I've read up on the usual places (Stratosphere, Paris top of the tower) but heard the food isn't really all that - you're just paying for the view really.
Also heard mixed thing's on Bellagio's Prime Steakhouse been very expensive for what it is..
I'd be happy going to the Cheesecake Factory :rotfl: but could anyone give us some idea's?

you cannot book The Cheesecake Factory , although this may have changed / be different for a large group.

Mon ami Gabi should be on your list .

Did you book Wynn or Encore? :) Either way, I'm sure you won't be disappointed...both are excellent...if Encore I think you'll be that much happier - it's really a great place and the most comfortable hotel room bed we've ever slept in.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I don't think Cheesecake Factory is suitable for a wedding meal myself. You really want a view and reasonable prices you won't get better than Mon Ami Gabi. Fillet Mignon in red wine juis about $35-$40 and the best Fillet I have ever had. A nice lemon chicken is only around $18. Plenty of free bread and a nice glass of wine for $7, complimented by the view of the fountains on the other side of the road and people watching from the patio will be a memorable event. You can not book the patio, you just show up and it is first come first served, but you get a buzzer so you can walk around the casino and have a drink while waiting.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Thanks, i presumed that Paris would just sell french cuisine. Looking at the menu though im pleasently supprised by the range they sell!

What's the wait usually like for this place?

There's only the two of us, so we'd like somewhere decent/romantic since we would be married earlier that day.

    2 of you ? no worries .

you only have to wait for the Patio ( you can book the indoors restaurant ) , and unless it's a mega busy weekend night it should be short wait .

book early say 7pm with the intention of sitting down at 8pm . they give you a table buzzer that reaches well into the casino (front of house will know how far ) . arrive at 7 , gamble a little , get a drink and explore Paris casino . you should be eating in good time wat pretty much the only place that has outside dining right on the strip . if a view of The Bellagio Fountains isn't romantic enough ...then what is .

it of course will not hurt to be very polite to front of house in a proper English accent and mention you just got married .;);)

don't feel shy about doing this , it's Expected .

you might also consider Olives @ the Bellagio which look out onto the fountains from the Bellagio side . is a premium restaraunt though .

We stayed at the Encore last weekend.

Last time we were concerned about the noise from the nightclub I had read about on TA. I asked for a high floor away from the noise and we were allocated a room on the 63rd (top) floor at the far end of the corridor facing north.

They couldn't have put us any further away and we didn't hear a thing.

Last weekend I just asked for a south facing room on a high floor and got one on the 30th floor. Again we didn't hear a thing and the view was much better.

It's a great hotel. The rooms and casino are beautiful and like ferf, it was the comfiest bed I have ever slept in, until we came to the Aria that is and that is even more comfy which I didn't think was possible.

Who have you booked with, is it direct with the hotel and what rate per night did you get in dollars? Just asking so that we can maybe find a better rate before you go.

Thanks chap's, The OH has gone to bed now, but i'll make sure to show her the menu to MAG tomorrow :)
Regards to tipping to get a Patio seat straight away, how much would be a decent enough amount to give in order to sway them? Who would we have to tip, the reservation desk?
