Sorry if this Q is in the thread and has been answered...I can't find it though.

Can someone please tell when Virgin are operating the new planes from Gatwick to Vegas please?

    No plans at the moment

OK everyone has heard me ramble on about how awful Virgin are on LGW LAS -I have to go out in August for an event and for my specific plans Virgin are going to work out £150 cheaper than anyone else (Basically it's a fuel/taxesl dump for those who know what I'm talking about). I really don't want to do it-but I can't justify the extra for a short trip. Hmmm what to do. I suspect MSE ethics will win out :o

Depends which shows you want to see and if any show is a must see or if you're more relaxed about it. Broadway style shows, singing, dancing, Cirque , what KIND of show does she like ? Give us a bit more info and maybe we can suggest something (and if you need to book ahead or not depends on which show :) )

Well, she likes musicals etc. Just curious if there are any must see? How about comedys?

When your parents don't check in those seats will go back into the pot -so you might as well cancel and claim back the airport tax. If they are likely to want to go again later on -it may be well worth changing rather than cancelling. Either way there is no benefit in not cancelling-your parents will be able to get something back out of it. Not much -but this is MSE where something is always better than nothing :)

I paid for it myself, a suprise present...

Also, I could cancel and save 50 or so pounds...

However, couldn't I check them in for the flights online, there is the option to 24 hours before departure. Therefore the seats wont go back in the pot and stay empty.

    QUOTE]

I defy anyone not to like the Cirque du Soleil show LOVE. Until we went, I couldn't really see why the Cirque shows were so expensive, but after seeing it last week, all is clear. Amazing spectacle.

I booked the cheapest seats via the Mirage's own website and got 25% discount on the cheapest seats. Think the offer is still on. We were upgraded on the night as they were closing the balcony. Was offered 3rd row seats, but thanks to advice here I knew it was better to sit further back and politely said I didn't want to be so close to the front. We had a greaT view.

    Edit: https://oss.ticketmaster.com/html/group_corp_start.htmI?l=EN&team=mirage&owner=4835066&group=51&err=&event=&customerID=
    offer code = MIRAGE
discount only valid on selected performances but runs until end Oct.

Well if it was me I'd go see Donny and Marie at the Flamingo-loads of dancing , broadway numbers (my favourite parts are the dance off and the Stevie Wonder segments) and a bit of comedy -that isn't too American -I've yet to find anyone who didn't come away impressed

I hear Human Nature at Imperial Palce is great if you like Motown and I agree with Love as it seems to be the Cirque show that appeals to everyone even non Cirque and non Beatles fans.

I suppose you COULD -but if the flight is full -when they don't show up at the gate they'll use the seats. No guarantees it'd work.

Actually thinking about it Delta don't do on-line check in for international at Heathrow or Gatwick-at least they haven't the last three times I flew with them in the last year. It shows as an option on the website but when you try to do it-it tells you to check in at the airport. So unless anything has changed in the last month.....go get that refund and check in really early to try and get emergency row seats (or pray for an empty flight)

I would recommend both those shows.

You can get Donny and Marie at a discount through BestofVegas and I would recommend getting them in advance as they don't seem to appear at the discount places.

Human Nature you can get at VegasTix4Less at $30 or $37 plus $5 fee. Tix4Tonight don't do them. It is a great, high energy show. You don't have to be a huge fan of Mowtown to enjoy the show as all the songs they do are well know.

I'm about to book 2 domestic flights in and out of LV. Southwest do non-stop flights from S.Fran - Vegas and also from Vegas - S.Deigo , and the rates are good too.
I've seen them mentioned on this thread and wondered if anyone can advise if they've used Southwest and if they're generally good? We'll be checking in 1 suitcase p/person that will be under the 20kg allowance so I believe there will be no extra charge than the 1 single amount shown on the main search page-is this right or are there any hidden extras? Thank you in advance

Okay was thinking of booking this.

You can cancel these though if youve seen a better deal right?

Also, first timer to LV.. would your recommend pool view or strip view?

    Also,

Most deals a fully refundable just check small print

No question IMO strip view especially for a first timer and of course if you are at Mirage you want a volcano view
