October , NovemberFerf summed the eating situation up perfectly. In other words, it's a bit like "how long is a piece of string?"
We tend to go for cheap, but good. We spend longer there than your average Vegas visitor, but generally do a nice (expensive'ish) meal about three times during our trip. The remainder is buffets, local joint and fast food. (We love Chipotle and Panda Express.)0 -
October , NovemberRegarding Ross, the strip location is usually very scruffy because it gets so much traffic. If you can get to another one, you'll find much more organised stock, but not necessarily better choices.
I prefer TK(J) Maxx to Ross in Las Vegas.0 -
I had a look for other Ross branches after my post and I can't believe I've missed out all these years! I'll definitely be touring them in September.
I will also have a look for branches of TJ Maxx - was also successful in that store in Florida!
SIL is due to have her baby in May, so when we were in Florida in November we picked up lots of unisex stuff. We'll be able to shop for some pink and blue this year! And some things for ourselves of course too0 -
SeptemberThanks, Driving isnt an option as we are both non drivers.
So, that doesn't seem to stop anyone who actually lives in Vegas!!:rotfl:The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -

SeptemberMy parents flew to Vegas on Saturday with BA and had no issues.
They flew on the only flight from Glasgow on Saturday to Heathrow with 44 other passengers on board.
Got a text when they landed to say that the Vegas flight went ahead as expected only they didn't get a hot meal which they knew about before hand.0 -
MarchWhy, I thought they were actually running the Vegas flight through the strikes?
This week's flight did run to Vegas (well today's), although that's not to say next weeks will. We also have a domestic from Newcastle to consider, and we're coming home from Miami on this trip (as going on to Mexico), so it's not straight forward for us.
I'm not kicking at BA, as I think that they're doing great considering the strikes. We're not confirmed to be able to fly on Monday next week on either of our flights, so it's frustrating all the same for us waiting and not knowing if we need to shell out a bit of cash to get to London, or if we need to look at getting to another airport (LA or San Fran) and paying to get from there. I'm a very organised person and hate that I'm not in control of it.....
(It probably seems all the more stressful as it's our wedding on Saturday, so with so much happening, it's just something we thought was all sorted)Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -

I don't think it's a matter of kicking -just some people don't see any reason to push business towards an airline who may or may not fly (just because a flight goes in one phase of the strike doesn't mean it will in later phases) and staff who are deliberately targeting holiday periods (Christmas and Easter) so the ordinary worker rather than business traffic is affected-when there are plenty of other airlines who fly to Vegas to choose from.
I know at least forty people flying out to Vegas in July -seperately for the same event-not a single person is even considering the BA flight.......(although if BA do a post strike sale maybe some will change their minds) at this point. It's considered too risky when there is a more reliable alternative.
Bit of a no brainer really -politics don't come into it for me-just common sense.
Mooky hope it all works out for Monday for you-and have a wonderful day on Saturday.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
