Hi peeps.

Just been away for the weekend so had no internet access since Friday afternoon and just catching up on here.

Yes it was me who had blisters from wearing my, previously, super comfy FlyFlots. Have worn Crocs with no problems, but the last couple of trips it has been Skechers and they have been fine. No a lover of flip flops of any sort and especially not those with toe posts.

We consider the Mandalay Bay buffet, Spice Market at PH and Flavors at Harrah's to be the best breakfast buffets. Not a lover of Le Village at Paris and didn't rate Excalibur.

My brother got married at the Little Chapel of the Flowers and highly rated it.

I believe the military can get discounts on rooms, but you might be better with some of the offers that have been posted on here.

Hi everyone,
Going mid may and this time fancy a day or 2 at disneyland/universal studios in CA.
Ive managed to find a 2 day coach tour with accomadation and a days entry to disney for $550 per couple.
Does anyone know of any good sites that offer similar trips from vegas and back again?
It doesnt have to be by coach as a flight will be a lot quicker but my googling hasnt come up with much so far.

Are you completely against driving? Tickets to Disney appear to be about $72/per person per day so that would leave about $400 for a couple to sort out acccomdation for 1 night and transport there...I cannot imagine you couldn't do it quite a lot cheaper driving if it's an option.

Or Southwest fly to John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA) which is the closest airport to Disney I think...other airlines probably do too. Even LAX isn't that far away...though once you tack on the time to get to the airport to check in and get through security and wait for your flight (I think LAS has a 2-hour rule) and take the flight and get off the flight, etc...may not really save you that much time.

Plenty of transport options from SNA to Disney.

Thanks, Driving isnt an option as we are both non drivers.
I was actually looking at the Southwest page when i read your reply.
Ive flown with them from LHR to LAS before and liked the flight.
Just would NEVER fly indirect again as it takes too long.

This will be our 6th trip to Vegas in 4 years and we just fancied something a bit different.

Now I wouldn't dare knock Luci's judgement, but what I'm going to say shows just how horses-for-courses even things such as breakfast buffets can be!

We found that Le Village was quieter and provided a better service than the Spice Market buffet at breakfast, and on the contrary, Spice Market in PH was too busy and the service was poor for drinks to tables! (we waited 15mins for coffee one morning) So much so that even though we were staying in PH, we'd walk over to Paris for breakfast...

This time when we go we're going to try Harrah's as we'll be staying up that way :j

Thanks for all the useful advice so far. Going to Vegas in June for 7 nights, how much cash should i take?

There are 4 of us going all together so we will be using a "kitty" to pay for comunal things like food & drink, - i don't anticipate gambling much, probably prepaired to lose £10/£20 per night and i will also have my credit card (post office) for any big buys - How much cash would you think is enough

It depends on a lot of factors - where do you plan to eat? How much do you plan to drink and what? Drinks are free if gambling (though it's customary to tip $1 a drink or so)...but you say you don't plan to gamble much. You can find cheap drinks at some casinos but in some places it's quite expensive (2 standard cocktails cost about $16+ tip at most casino bars - yes, there are cheaper options but we paid $18 for 2 Amaretto sours at Excalibur last trip, and upscale Excalibur is not).

There is such a vast choice of dining options from really cheap to really expensive - so impossible to know what someone else might spend...there are vouchers available for discounts lots of places too which can reduce the cost. In general portions are large so we normally only find we eat 2 meals a day (and we rarely miss a meal at home )

Thanks, we will probably have 2/3 nice meals during stay the rest of the time will be cheap and cheerful - I would imagine we will spend a bit on cocktails as i'm sure we will be drinking most nights - do you still get "free" cocktails if you are playing the slot machines?
