Quick question - when I booked our flights with Delta (direct through their website) it let us pick what seats we wanted. However, I noticed someone earlier say that you can only pick seats if you are part of their frequent flyer club or something (which we aren't). We aren't picky, we just want two seats together, with one by a window. Does this mean that the seats they allowed me to pick online are not going to be ours? When can we definitely pick our seats?

You should be able to pick your seats months in advance if it just a simple/confirmed direct flight (according to what I have found searching online - people choose there seats 7-9 months in advance!), and you shouldn't have to be part of the Frequent Flyer Club. Even though I imagine it couldn't hurt to be part of any FFC - might as well rack those miles up!

However, in my case, we fly from Manchester to Atlanta (Have a 3hr stop-over and then get on the exact same plane) to Las Vegas and I can't choose my seats due to the fact that we are involved within a stop-over and 'change planes' (term used loosely because according to the itinerary, the plane is the same when we stop and then take-off again in Atlanta - DL65) .

Any of your frequent Vegas flyers used to this? And idea when will be able to choose our seats (I emailed Delta last week and haven't received a response)? I imagine the flight will be pretty full and I'm hoping to get all five of our seats together to basically make the time go by a little bit fast.

It's strange isn't it - we're on the DL65 Manchester to Vegas via Atlanta and it's let us book the outbound seats but not the inbound seats!

Steff , I had the up to april offer to, the up to Oct offer was towards the bottom of a long list of offers of slot tournys for $99 for 3 nights every month thru to Dec, so maybe you missed it...I have about 3500 points on my account so not many.

Just to add, last year I phoned or emailed (cant remember which or it may have been both) the Orleans and spoke to casino marketing , told them I only get there once a year and how much I like Orleans and how i play the tables but forget to hand my card in etc . and the lady i spoke to gave me 4 nights at half the online booking rate.

    thanks again photome!
I have re-checked my OH's offer this morning and there is definately no free nights to December unfortunately. I really wish there was!!

I remember your advice last year about emailing casino marketing so I did that in January. They forwarded my email to the poker manager (as we are more poker players than gamers) and he got back to me offering me a rate that was more expensive than the ruby card rate! So much for that idea!

I have just checked our points balance on our Ruby Cards though - mine - zero, my OH 988! They dont give you points for poker (and not many for craps) and those are our games.... so we tend to lose out. Maybe this is why we havent got your deal.

Thanks for the advice though and, again, keep me in mind if you come across any non-specific deals!

    RE reserving seats on Delta.

I am on the same flights MAN - ATL, ATL - LAS, two hour stopover.

If you ring Delta they are able to book the seats for you that you cant book online. I have already done this for my flight in June/July.
Its an 0845 number though. Ring 0800 414767 0845 6000950 and it will say, number changed to "" - then call this one with your refernece number. They can book your seats.

Wynn from $119 http://reservations.wynnlasvegas.com/index.html?promo=SPDST2 for selected dates in April.

$25 credit for 2 days or more. Comp upgrade to Encore Resort Suite King at time of booking based on availability.

    Thanks for this Froggitt,
Though, after checking my dates (30/6 - 5/7 - 5 nights) its $1,150 plus tax whereas I have the same booking through Atlaschoice for £420 all in.

Just a warning to anyone thinking of booking soon.

I haven't been to Alize yet as it's quite expensive, but it gets consistently good review and comes highly recommended on TA when someone asks for a nice restaurant.

Thanks Luci when are you going there? I'm not going to Vegas till end of May so if you go to Alize before I do could you let me know what you think please

Donny and Marie cancelled again for the rest of this week at the Flamingo.
Looks like Marie's decision to return to work the day after her son's funeral wasn't the right one for her. Not holding my breath for my reservations for next week's shows
