I haven't been to Alize yet as it's quite expensive, but it gets consistently good review and comes highly recommended on TA when someone asks for a nice restaurant.

About 5 weeks till I go now.

    Very excited!

Does anyone know which are the best clubs/ late lounges in Vegas?

also somebody in work told me about a flight card for Virgin that gets you into the lounge at Gatwick?

    ???
  • I am looking at going to Las Vegas and can't quite believe how cheap accommodation appears to be! We worked out with flights we could stay for between 10-14 nights for about 5-600 pounds - unbelievable!

Booking.com and lowcostlasvegas.com appear to provide great accommodation rates.

I know most people on here put together their holiday themselves, but for anyone looking for a package, I thought this was a great deal at £689 for a 9 night 3-centre holiday to LA, Vegas and San Francisco (flight + acccomodation):
    http://www.unitedvacations.co.uk/hotdeals/detail.asp?SpecialID=090310_Regionals&cmpid=BAC-TZooHomePg

Also you get free connecting flights from UK regional airports.

A question on behalf of my son who is going to Vegas for a stag trip in June - can he use a UK debit card in the same way as a credit card? (he doesn't have a credit card) or better to get one of these pre-loaded cards? Or travellers cheques??? Not sure what to advise him.
    Any advice appreciated.

That is an exxcellent deal....I've bookmarked them for future reference....we have already booked our flights for this year but certainly worth thinking about for future trips

depends what sort of thing you are looking for entertainment wise....
    we like
Bills casino lounge bar reasonably priced drinks
The Lounge and Dicks at Excalibur
Carnival Court at Harrah's cheap beer
Nine Fine Irishmen at NY NY but the drinks are expensive here
O'sheas's have some good bands on but it's noisy here

Virgin Flying Club Gold Card I believe gets you into the Clubhouse, whatever class youre flying in (someone plz confirm).

Frequent Virgin Holidays Card gets you into the Vroom, so long as youre on a Virgin Holidays package.

I doubt he will be able to have anything charged to his room if the hotel cant reserve an amount on checkin. eg Wynn I think is $200 a day reservation.
