    Hi Steff
thanks for that, i think having the opportunity to walk around would be so much better, I keep looking at this every month or so and the price seems to be going up slightly so I should look at booking it soon.
Good luck with your wedding plans sounds very exciting x

Steff , I had the up to april offer to, the up to Oct offer was towards the bottom of a long list of offers of slot tournys for $99 for 3 nights every month thru to Dec, so maybe you missed it...I have about 3500 points on my account so not many.

Also did you check the room rates while you were signed in as they are often much lower.

good luck in finding a better deal

Just to add, last year I phoned or emailed (cant remember which or it may have been both) the Orleans and spoke to casino marketing , told them I only get there once a year and how much I like Orleans and how i play the tables but forget to hand my card in etc . and the lady i spoke to gave me 4 nights at half the online booking rate.
  • I'm off to Vegas in May just saying thanks for everyone involved in posting here it's very useful and actually just builds the anticipation up for the holiday!

Gracie, i've been looking at Grand Canyon tours too. Most of what I've read says the helicopter tour is amazing. It does seem pricey to go on the boat as well, but i'm considering it since it's a once-in-a-lifetime oppertunity. I'm unsure whether attempt to book this over here or would it be better in Vegas? Mmm.

Steff did you land inside the Canyon then? Did you have an oppertunity to stand at the side and top of the Canyon and look down as well? I just think it would be nice to try and have a quiet 5 minutes looking out.

10% off Expedia hotel bookings, until the end of March, voucher code: MARCH101603

Not sure if it's of any use, Expedia are usually more expensive but I have had some bargains in the past. Hope someone can make use (don't think it's linked to my account).

ok, heres a quick one to guage peoples opinions.

Celeb spa suite at MGM Grand or Delux Room at Mandalay Bay.

Both are the same price, and the south strip location isnt an issue for us.

Have stayed at THEhotel but not MB, but have visited both extensively during our time there last year so we know pretty much what both have to offer. So if it was your choice what would you pick?

WestHamDaz - sorry, can't really help... though in theory the Celeb Spa Suite should be better spec'd (tho possibly not refurbed yet?) I think Deluxe @ MB may disappoint you if you've stayed at TheHotel and if the Deluxe is anything like the 750 we had it will be in need of refurb anyways (tho someone mentioned their 750 looked better than mine so maybe MB is as equally refurb'd as MGM?)

    BA - Strikes
I've heard a couple of 'experts' mention that BA will most likely cull the short journeys way before any long journeys so hopefully *fingers crossed* anyone travelling during the strikes will be unaffected... :)

edit: apologies, i should think (research!) before i post:
At Heathrow, it will continue to operate more than 60% of its long-haul flights to and from the airport during the first three days of action.

still got my fingers crossed for you!

MB for me altho not stayed in a CSS but a lot of them are worn according to reports. All rooms are refurb at MB and last year I got upgraded from a standard room at MB to a suite at The hotel for $20
