That's the thing it doesn't appear to be a few dollars difference, it seems to be about £100 more on sites such as www.booking.com and www.atlaschoice.com... Surely they can't be that far away from the strip?

Check with the IP direct. The difference won't be so much. The Capri rooms are underneath the parking garages right at the back of the property, and while they are probably OK to sleep in, I wouldn't like to go back to those rooms in the middle of the night. And we regularly walk to and from Ellis Island after dark.

Has anyone used Open Table to make a restaurant reservation? I was going to use them to book Alize, but they want a credit card to secure the booking which I'm not keen on.

I have no problem using my CC on the internet for things I am actually buying or booking, but not just to make a reservation.

Think I will have to call to make the booking which is a bit of a hassle as they don't open until 5.30pm which means staying up till half past midnight to make the call.

i have booked this morning Luci and had to put in my credit card to guarantee my booking, I think I have until 2 days before to cancel if I need to, have had to do this before in the past with other restaurants to

I would take the advice to go for a deluxe room or at least a standard room. Last I heard there was only one floor, floor 3, that hadn't been upgraded and still had standard rooms.

Take the suggestion to look directly on Harrah's site at Hot Deals. You should be able to do better booking direct. I have seen rooms on there as little as $15 a night.

We've used Open Table before but not for Alize...never had to pay a deposit for Envy, etc. However, we did have to pay a deposit for our booking at Top of The World (booking was direct with the restaurant) so I suspect that Alize has a similar policy and Open Table can't make the reservation without a cc.

Oh, and you could try calling before they open - a lot of restaurants in Vegas we've dealt with have someone on the reservations line all day - or the reservations line goes to a central number for all kinds of info which is staffed all day.

Thanks for that. I might try and call them tonight mid-evening and if I don't get a reply, I could try very early in the morning before they close.

We are also thinking of trying Stripsteak and it will probably be a Friday night when we are at MGM so I will have to book that too once we decide.

Try THIS LINK. It will allow you to see a month's rates at several Harrah's casinos side by side. Just put your dates in.

For 12 June for 14 nights, a deluxe room is a total of $549 + tax which is £366 between 2 of you plus tax.

    https://www.harrahs.com/AvailabilityCalendar.do

I would check that the rates you found elsewhere include tax as they often don't.
