Really sorry for those travelling during the proposed strike dates. I truly hope that they see sense and don't go ahead.

New code for www.restaurant.com = BITE

    Gives 80% discount until Tuesday.

Thanks for that. I thought I had all the restaurant.com certs I would need, but spotted that they had a $50 cert for Stripsteak for $4 so couldn't resist.

Are those prices per person? What was your original fare.....and what's your return date ? Could you go a day or two earlier so you're still there for your birthday -if so how much flexibility do you have ?
With that info maybe we can help

    (I'm flying the 25th -29th myself-thankfully not BA)

Yes that's £1874 per person. The original fare with BA was £650. We're flexible on leaving up to a few days later but not earlier. Everything around that time is around the £2k mark!!!

wow! this looks brilliant value! Has anyone used these before and are they problem free? I think I will grab some ahead of my trip next week

Agree with photome - read the T&Cs and don't buy too many - you probably won't use all of them (though when they are 80% off it's hard to resist). Do not do what some do and buy multiple ones thinking you'll use them all at once or different nights during your trip - limit one per party and one per month.

I bought one for Ben & Jerry's - the one I was missing from my stash. :)

really sorry to hear some of you are due to fly BA on the strike dates - hopefully it will either get sorted out or they will have alternatives in place in time. mookybargirl especially, I'll be thinking exceptionally good thoughts for you.

I love that they said 'not over Easter' and while I suppose that strictly speaking the strikes are not over Easter...they couldn't be a lot closer.

Thanks the responses re changing the flight time in Atlanta. I guess there would have been a chance we could have made the 7pm flight, assuming no delays from London and a quick escape of the plane, through immigration and onto the next plane. BUT, I would have been panicing the whole journey and I would not have relaxed, would have rushing like a headless chicken in an airport I have never been in before and probably be 10 x more stressed than having to wait. Although it is no fun to hang around for 4 hours, I feel happier knowing that I have definitely got a flight the same day.

You still haven't said how long you're going for but based on what you've said so far check out www.aa.com and make sure you scroll down :) There were FAR cheaper fares on there (£400-500) when I looked earlier this evening.

itm2, why are you dead set on Virgin, you know they are going to exploit the situation. As duchy says have a look around, you will have to do an internal transfer but we actually like that. You will find something £500-£600 so will actually make a profit.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

for any slot fans who like or want to try Star Trek had an email from Paris saying a new game has been released (not sure if it will be on all machines or just the ones at Paris)...but if you don't put your Total Rewards card in the machine and enter the user ID dennycrane you should have enough medals to try it out. :)
