Potential hotel bargain on Atlaschoice - just been looking for 7 nights in May on Hotelscomparison.com and it came up with Wynn for £518 inc tax.

Non-refundable but I can't see that price being beaten (£74 per night), especially the way the $/£ exchange rate is at the moment - works out $111 per night, obviously including a weekend.

EDIT: Encore for just £539, think I'll be having some of that !

Just been fiddling around with a few more dates on Atlaschoice, you can get 5 nights in Encore (Sun - Thurs inc) for £310, or £252 for 4 nights (in May).

If you do have a look, make sure you try a few different dates - I put in 3 nights, then 4, and 4 nights were cheaper than 3 !
  • Ive also booked this time with Virgin vouchers - purely because I started saving them ages ago, when you could pay the full amount in vouchers, now ive hit £1400 and thats the limit, im still aswell to use them on virgin - as dont want anything from goldsmiths.

Using the vouchers in "real money", we're paying £1320 (in total for 2) - for direct flight to NY, 4 nights there in a central hotel, flight to vegas, 8 nights in flamingo, and direct flight home. Personally i think I've done alright there, I only fly direct so im happy with it all. The points where earned purely buying things i used, and some good 500 points deals on CD pre orders which where all Xmas pressies.

However, I wont be saving for another holiday with tesco now theres the cap - as others have said better deals to be had.

If the OH is interested in pool holidays - then go for something like MGM or Flamingo. What reason does she not fancy vegas?

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: did you know that MGM grand also had a theme park when it opened , but was really naff .

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MGM_Grand_Adventures_Theme_Park

also Ballys as it now is was sold due to a fire that killed a 85 people back in 1980 .

    http://www.iklimnet.com/hotelfires/mgm_firereport.html

That airlines also stopped flights from New york to Las Vegas when Atlantic city opened because they though it ( Atlantic city) was the last rites for Vegas . how wrong can you be ???

i knew of the emerald green from ages ago, however ive heard somewhere in mgm is a bronze statue of dorothy and co, not sure if its true, spent ages trying to find i t last time and never did

    Help needed,
been to vegas 4 times now every time with friends but wanting to go next year as we are saving up our tesco clubcard deals, should have £700 off a virign holiday by this time next year, BUT the OH is not to keen on going she would rather go to spain.......
trying to convience her she can sunbathe etc in lv and have so much more as well. anyone come accross this problem before and how to overcome?
    cheers

Just tell her that you know some people who live in Spain for at least half the year, and still go to Vegas twice a year too. We prefer Vegas, and are hoping to buy somewhere to live there in the not so distant future. Vegas beats Spain (Alicante province) hands down.

In my experience VH is vastly overpriced - the value of which depends on which hotel you go for...so while you may save £700 off a Virgin Holiday, you won't actually be saving £700 on what it would have cost you to book separately so may not be the best use of your clubcard points.

true never booked wiht clubcard always done both seperate but as she is a teacher we are limited to holiday times when the 4x does work out better so should be paying approx £1000 ourselves which we cant argue with, beats spending the vouchers on crisps and booze in tesco[/QUOTE]

Holiday times often dont make much difference to flight prices if you book early and can make no difference to hotel prices in Vegas depending on which holiday time you are thinking of. I have been over easter fortnight (last year) and paid £330 for flights and an average of $50 a night for Paris and Flamingo.

This August I am paying £450 direct with Virgin (m +m) and have MGM reserved at $55 a night

I also use our vouchers for meals out, we often have a week away in the UK and eat out the whole week on Tesco Vouchers

Hey all, as we're getting closer, I need to start thinking about changing over some ££ to $$. Keeping an eye on Crown Currency and Travelex (where I got them last trip), but any tips very much appreciated......

    Morning all,

On my way into work this morning, I was dozily scanning "The Metro" newspaper when I came across the following article

    http://www.metro.co.uk/home/816283-katie-prices-marriage-to-alex-reid-void-after-licence-revoked

Guess which Rev had been assigned to perform our ceremony at our upcoming wedding at the Wynn?

    Thats right - Rev Henney......

I have emailed my wedding planners at the Wynn to get back to me with confirmation one way or another!

I suppose I should be thanking Katie Price at this stage.....

    Wow - close one!

I will let you know what they say!
