    Good choice.

Did you factor in the resort fees at Luxor and NYNY when you worked out the total?

    http://www.vegas.com/incl/resortfees.html

Just thought Id add a contrary post to this......hotels with resort fees are good if you use the things included, eg over Xmas at Signature ($20 a day resort fee or something).....Mrs Frog used the gym every day, ad I used the internet every day.

Compared to the Venetian $30 or so just for the gym the previous year, and $10 for wifi, its a saving of $20 a night.

I heard it starting from the other room and said to Mrs Frog "Caesars"......nope MGM she said. And by the age of the divine miss m, its probably the previous MGM!!!

Thanks Ferf those Goldstar prices look great. Looks like I need to wait til next week to book for my dates. Might see if I can squeeze George Wallace in too at those prices.
Not impressed with Bette on BBC2

I've never had anything stolen either and there's usually at least 30 of us in town at the same time and I don't know anyone who has had issues (I don't bother with the in-room safe either and usually have some cash/passport/laptop in the room) that includes staying at Orleans MGM Ceasars Flamingo Riviera Wynn mainly so right across the range

I have a picture from my first trip in 1997 of The Flying Monkey Bar at MGM. :)

And as for Bally's being the old MGM - we knew that - and we knew not to mention to my MIL that that was the location of the MGM fire that killed 80+ people as it would have completely put her off staying there.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

for those of you who have stayed at Paris before - is there a coffee bar/kisok anywhere? I've scoured the map here:

    http://www.vegascasinoinfo.com/images/propmaps/parmap.pdf

And can't find one but may be missing it...I don't think I've ever been in a casino in Vegas without a Starbucks or a Java Coast or something...so I feel it must be there somewhere.

Easy access to coffee in the day or days before we buy a coffee maker for the room is very important to us, you see. :)

Not sure if you're after 'take-away' coffee, but there's a big cafe right in the casino - looking at the map it must be Le Cafe St Louis. We used it really late on one night, may even be open 24hrs ??

    EDIT: Open 24hrs : http://www.parislasvegas.com/casinos/paris-las-vegas/restaurants-dining/cafe-ile-st-louis-detail.html
