Hi - yeah, it's takeaway coffee we're after...we love the cafe, but not sure if they do to-go coffee. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Well I didnt know that either.......the MGM is green becuase the original theme of the property was Wizard of Oz and the Emerald City!!!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: did you know that MGM grand also had a theme park when it opened , but was really naff .

also Ballys as it now is was sold due to a fire that killed a 85 people back in 1980 .

That airlines also stopped flights from New york to Las Vegas when Atlantic city opened because they though it ( Atlantic city) was the last rites for Vegas . how wrong can you be ???

That's weird - I just read something about that a few days ago, had never heard about it before then. Clearly I'm in the minority but I actually think it looked quite fun :o

I quite enjoyed the MGM theme park, and the River Nile that ran through the Luxor where you could take the boat ride to different parts of the hotel

for those of you who have stayed at Paris before - is there a coffee bar/kisok anywhere? I've scoured the map here:

    http://www.vegascasinoinfo.com/images/propmaps/parmap.pdf

And can't find one but may be missing it...I don't think I've ever been in a casino in Vegas without a Starbucks or a Java Coast or something...so I feel it must be there somewhere.

Easy access to coffee in the day or days before we buy a coffee maker for the room is very important to us, you see. :)

There's two places that you can buy coffee to go.

Cafe Belle Madeleine has nice coffee but more expensive (opposite Cafe St Louis, and sells the nice cakes, just as you come out of the lift area)

JJ's Boulangerie has filter coffee which is cheaper but okay and used to have free fill ups (opposite the buffet entrance and next to La Crepierie, turn right exiting the lifts and walk towards Bally's)

Get some photos from the web of things like MGM lazy river, Mandalay Beach, Venetian gondolas, Eiffel tower at Paris, fountains at Bellagio, dolphins and tigers at Mirage etc etc, and then a photo of a villa with pool in Spain......

i advise getting her a good guide book . this is my personal fav
