Good to see you here again, i'm afraid Virgin still use the old planes, have you thought of looking at BA from Heathrow? They seem to be around the same kind of costs normally.

BA flights are over £500 for the same period but thanks anyway.
  • I just this second booked with Virgin, March 30th to April 4th, woot!

Flights went up £30 today, but once my mind is set thats it.... Don't mind an old plane if it saves me 5 hours of travel time..

How much did you pay? have you been in those old planes before...I shudder thinking about them!!

I am 3 hours drive from gatwick and that drive is a killer on the way back so Norwich is looking favourite...would have been tempted had they put newer planes on route though
  • I've flown some terrible airlines on my travels so not too bothered (aerolineas argentina was the worst)...

I paid £473 per person, it was actually £453 yesterday.

I would recommend "Ka" if you like action.. we were sat 4 rows from the front... it was truly an amazing experience... and well worth the price we paid.

I was disappointed with The Beatles, LOVE show, probably because after seeing Ka and O, I was expecting something similar or more but didn't get it.

My thoughts as well and i'm a huge Beatles fan.
    Spend your money on O.
  • Now debating weather to go ahead and book the bellagio now, or wait and see if it gets any cheaper by the end of March...

    3/30 $104.30 3/31 $104.30 4/1 $127.20 4/2 $191.20 4/3 $191.20

    $718 for 5 nights...

    ... any thoughts?

Hi. Never been to Vegas before but am thinking of booking a trip for 2 in 2011. Virgin are offering MGM Grand. Any feedback you have about this hotel would be much appreciated. TIA.

MGM Grand is a great Hotel.
A lot of people find it to big, but you soon get used to it and our standard rooms were superb.

    Its a good choice.

Like you Froggit I hated Zumanity......I'm not a prude by any means but I just thought it was a waste of money

    I thought Zumanity was terrible.
Its kind of a nothing show, nothing really happens and its very cheesey. I wouldn't go again if the tickets were free.

Regarding Virgin flights, personally I much prefer a 3 or 4 hour shorter travel time and just deal with a slightly more uncomfortable seat. Other than it being a slightly older plane/seat the service is as good as BA/etc and your saving over 8 hours there and back in time in the air, as well as hassle at connecting airports in the states, which can be a real pain in the bum.

Virgin flights are fine. Have used them and BA and would still pick Virgin over BA to Vegas and thats with the Gatwick Fleet.
The IFE isn't as good as other virgin planes, but the service is just as good and your going to Vegas. The flight is just something you have to live with as a means of transport. Get there as quick as you can.
