  • Any feedback or comments on the Mirage would be great.

Hard to beat the Mirage location IMHO and the Hotels fine. I stayed for a conference once, and you can find good prices on the rooms. My favorites are the Bellagio and Venetian but the Mirage is a lot cheaper than both these...

Hi thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

Want to book early as it is a present for OH. MGM appears to be very big and not sure if that would suit her. Others have mentioned the Mirage and it looks like they have Dolphins which she would love. Any feedback or comments on the Mirage would be great. TIA

thing about the Mirage is the rooms were built in the 80's and the standard room does have the WOW factor or space of say a Forum tower room at Caesars ( avoid a classic room at Caesars) or a room at the Wynn ( from what people have posted ) .the bathrooms are quite small , but how big a thing is a huge bathroom to you ?

The room we had was however perfectly clean , very comfy and had a view of the Volcano . The Mirage is a great place to be based IMO , just don't expect the super luxury of the new hotels room wise .

would i stay there again . ??? for sure if the price was right .

Quidco isn't just good for flights, it's also available on carhire, airport parking and travel insurance. Definitely worth using IMO

Also over Christmas I realized I had nectar points I hadn't checked in ages and realized they can be used for either flights or hotels on expedia.

not to mention , car insurance , Gas and Elec suppliers , gambling websites , DVD and CD's , mobile phone contracts , and clothes shopping . just some of the things we had Quidco cash from . current earnings stand at £1000+ over about two and half years .

Best ever deals were the £170 we got on Mrs Trets last Vodaphone contract and the £50 cashback for signing up and placing a £25 bet with Betfair .( because it was 2008 Grand Nat weekend , bet fair also gave you a free £25 bet to match your first £25 bet on top , which went on Comply or Die at 13-1 ...... :D:D:D:D:D KERRRCHING !!!!!)

Been waiting for a better bellagio offer, 30th march to 4th april comes out $718 for 5 nights,

    3/30 $104.30 3/31 $104.30 4/1 $127.20 4/2 $191.20 4/3 $191.20

Probably wont get any better than that? Shame about the hike over the weekend!

Try messing around with the dates and split into 2 reservations. Bellagio prices vary quite a lot with a bit of tweeking. It would mean 2 deposits being taken up front, but it might be worth the hassle..... (if this was a deal with freebies, they would frown upon 2 bookings, but as it's not, I would split this into 2 and have done over the past).....

We're off to Vegas at the end of Feburary (6.5 weeks, not that I'm counting!) We've booked our first 4 nights at Mandalay Bay and so I'm just after some opinions on it, is it okay? And, more importantly, will the $20 trick work at check in??

Thanks, I really appreciate everyone else's knowledge here!

You used to get cash back for sign up the Post Office credit card, and I know a few of us including me use this card in Vegas :-)

    We love Mandalay Bay :happyhear:happyhear:happyhear:happyhear:happyhear:happyhear

we stayed in THE HOTEL , but you won't be disappointed with MB i'm sure . if going up the strip from there the Deuce is a pain to catch as means crossing a few lanes of traffic ( also Mandalay Bay has no big pedestrain access from the road so difficult to even get onto the strip if you don't know the route , most people arrive/depart MB by the free Monorail or car ). catching the Deuce back is fine though .

$20 trick worked for us at THE HOTEL . have an idea of what you are after getting before trying it though .

tip for good place for breakfast here

    July
    Hi, looking for opinions please.

Still trying to book for July so want a hotel with a good pool was thinking MGM, any others that have good pools?

Also weighing up the package/ separate options - there are 3 of us sharing one room, 7 nights, have been looking at MGM bungalow suite, looking now at July prices direct with hotel + flight is near enough same as a package, I realise it's too early for hotel deals yet but any views on whether it's likely that significant savings can be made by waiting for hotel deals?

It doesn't look likely that flight prices are going to change much for July - MCR/GLA/NCL. Cheapest £569 Thomas Cook, others £700ish!!

Package flight is with US Airways or BA, any bad experiences??

    Thanks:beer:

For fab pools look at the Flamingo-great location too more central than MGM

Money Saving tip-If you want access to the Flamingo's pools but want a cheaper hotel-stay next door at Bill's as guests have Flamingo pool access.

  • Looked at the cityandshows website and it was coming up around £120 more for the Encore compared to other sites we saw last night, just waiting an answer from those companies to confirm any additional fees/taxes are payable on arrival.

as for quidco, earned just under £500 cashback in 14 months. Best cashback was for an o2 mobile broadband contract. Ordered it via quidco, tracked OK, recieved the dongle but despite o2 saying it would work in my area it didnt so they agreed to cancel the contract. Quidco changed the status of the transaction to 'cancelled' then promptly paid me £30 three months later!!
