I read on another forum that it was CC, but Laughlin would be worse.

Ah, I hadn't realised the CC comment was based on actual info - I thought we were hypothesizing about what unfortunate place they could have you staying. :)

Is CC the only option do you know? I wonder if they will be the manor rooms too.

I'll be interested to see more detail once it's out...will be interesting to see the duration and how prices compare to just booking a flight itself...will also be interested if they specify the type of room at CC.

Thanks to all who have replied to my queries, it is much appreciated.

I'm a little apprehensive, after reading your comments, about staying Downtown but in the end, cost won and we decided to take a gamble on it. If it is so awful that we don't like it, at least we only have to stick it out for two nights and will know better for next time. Hopefully, the next time we go, it won't be such an impulsive decision and we will have planned for it properly, so that cost won't be such an issue and we will be able to stay at better hotels.

    I have booked:

    Flights - £728
    4 nights @ Imperial Palace - £64
    2 nights (weekend) @ Fitzgeralds - £49
    4 nights @ MGM Grand - £206

I think the total price of £1047 for two people, for ten nights, isn't too bad, is it? :)

Four days. IMHO dump the CC booking, ask for the flight back to be changed, and book the Platinum!!!

Or maybe ask for something of compararable value to the CC......like a Stripburger meal for two!!!

Or just book the flight and chosen hotel yourself, of course. :) Sounds quite a lot like another one of those if it sounds too good to be true sort of things.

very good price IMO . but is the IP really only costing £16 per night ? if so superb value !!

i like Downtown , but i have always been someone who enjoys cheap and rowdy now and again.

i assume your Fitzgeralds booking is refundable if you cancel , why not keep a eye out for somewhere like Orleans . off strip but has excellent shuttle bus . many forum members like it a lot .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I booked the IP using my husband's Total Rewards number and the Best Rates offer, which gave rates of $25 per night. I then entered REWARDS into the promo box and it brought the price down to $22.50 The total with added taxes was $100.80 = £64 :rotfl:

I booked Fitzgeralds through i4vegas so doubt it would be refundable but I also doubt that I would find another offer as low as £49 for two weekend nights.:D
