Confirmation of Cafe Ba Ba Reeba closing
Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba to Close: Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises restaurant empire is to open its first Mexican-themed restaurant mid-March on the site in Fashion Show Mall currently occupied by the group's Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba tapas joint, which will close Feb. 15.

The new restaurant, which has yet to be named, is described as "an informal cantina and taqueria with a mesquite-fired wood grill, and a fairly traditional menu."

The good news for Ba-Ba-Reeba fans is that the "beverage program will include housemade sangria" still, plus "out of this world" margaritas. It will take advantage of its proximity to the Strip with a walk-up taco stand up front serving passers-by street-food style.

Well they say that the offer was only good up till March, but we booked for May and others have said that they were able to book the $99 room in September! But saying that, we booked and paid the 1 night deposit just to hold the room as I thought that the offer was too good to be true and it would quickly get oversubscribed. I personally wouldn't chance leaving it myself, $99 on a weekend?? You will pay more than that at the clown and the Trop.
woops, sorry, i meant do you know if there is a date when they pull the offer from being bookable? (it disappears from the website) or do you mean it should be available on the website till the end of march (we've booked september but want to change dates if i can, but its dependant on me being able to change my dates at MGM first... which is subject to a decent offer becoming available again as the last one i used has expired! :D )

... does all that make sense!? :D

    Crystal!

Can you not make a second booking for the other dates you are thinking about? Better to have one night's deposit tied up than lose out on the deal because it was pulled.

I agree it's really worth checking - and normally if you put in your dates for your chosen hotel if you scroll down it will show you rates for the other hotels for the same period...it's worth clicking through each one to see what sort of comps might be there as it's sometimes hard to tell without going into each property - sometimes the non-comped nights seem to come up more expensive than going through hot deals or something, so sometimes you can shuffle your comped dates to the beginning or end of a trip and then book the balance for less through another source.

Harrahs will match though-I found a free upgrade deal at Easter so called them and asked them to match it (Go room for the price of a deluxe) they changed it without fuss.
The july trip however it's only $50 for deluxe Friday and Saturday per night and 2 nights either side comped so doubt I'll be able to beat that :)
I'll probably cough up $30 a night for the upgrade to Go on check in

Since Stripburger's official name is Stripburger at Cafe Ba Ba Reeba, I wonder if it will be affected?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thats kina what I was getting at, book and cancel if need be. There is no indication on the offer when it closes.
    P.S.
We have been to the Ba Ba Reba in Barcelona, we got excited when we saw the one in Vegas, totaly different. Wonderful tapas that you just sit at the bar and pick, the best Sangria in the world as well.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Tony HATED Blue Man Group. I didn't fancy it, so he went with his grandson who wasn't keen either.

We loved Jersey Boys and Ka though. Haven't been to many shows because I'm just not that into them.
