Hi,
Sparkle just reading your post, Skintbit is right, if you go into your paypal account you can request the payment using paypal. You do need the buyers e-mail address for this.
Hope that helps, and good luck with ebay. I've got stuff on it too, it's so addictive. I'm off into Primark tmmw for an item that's not in the big stores anymore, but my local one has loads!!
Be good.

I had an item on sale for £6.50 BIN with £2.50 p&p to the uk. My listings say to contact me for international postage. I've just had a buyer (0 feedback) from the United States pay the £9 BIN price immeadiately, which is great except the item is going to cost £10.50 to send to the United States. What should I do about this? Is there any way I can invoice the buyer for more money?
Thank you!
Is the item really heavy? Could you use a courier instead of RM?
(Think you have been given the answers you were after; I've moved onto postage options)

not sure but i'm sure floxxie or mrscmr will be along first thing in the morning and will have an idea, but think if you go into paypal blue bars along the top there is a tab request money and once you go in there the drop down menu allows you to get their email address and then you enter the amount then the reason - i would put it under services - not sure if this is the correct way to do it but thats what i would do
Thanks skintbint but you should have more confidence in your knowledgeMortgage start September 2015 £90000 MFiT #060 -

night night!x
How was the airport mrscmr? I used to live on the edge of Hounslow Heath from 1996 to 2001 and the planes used to fly really low overhead. It's quite handy living round here, Heathrow is about a 10 minute journey by car.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

This is the probem with not having your overseas postage included up front. As there are only two rate bands for RM. Europe and worldwide just add the postage costs to your auciton P and P boxes and the invoice picks it up automatically based on their country.
All you can do here is to refund and send a revised invoice. However, this could get messy as they could say that they have paid the invoice as received and as it is all automated ebay will see that is correct and may entertain a non performing seller complaint. I would suggest emailing the buyer very apologetically, explaining what has happened and asking that they repay so you can send the goods on Monday. You could just send a second invoice for the extra postage, but that costs you a little more in fees and can be a problem if buyer puts in an item not received claim .
Then go and add the postal costs to all your other auctions where overseas sales are enabled.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you have anything really big I can recommend rubble sacks from Poundland. They are tougher than bin bags and usually green or blue in colour.
I buy my mailing sacks from Ebay, bubble wrap 60m roll from Viking Direct (often when they have a 2for1 deal on) and padded envelopes from Poundland. I also re-use any envelope, box or bit of packaging that comes near me. My brother and in-laws also give me any they get. I've saved up loads of boxes which I flat pack and keep in the garage. I shred any unwanted paper in the house and also use that for padding in parcels
Hi, I've only got to post #48 on this thread but wonder if I've had a lightbulb moment.
I often get stuff delivered at work that has had the box padded out with polythene pillows. (Imagine a roll of sandwich bags that have been pumped up and sealed to keep the air in). They weigh almost nothing.
Well I wondered if we could make our own air filled pillows using recycled bags. Even the plastic that magazines come through the post in could be used. Whizz them around to fill with air and seal them with one of those heated things used to seal bags for the freezer.
Has any one tried this? Mind you I wish I'd invented it in the first place!!0
