  • ah mad cat ladyness - all very well as long as they (and you!) don't smell of wee :D

although I think I will be a mad greyhound lady instead :rotfl:

an ok day today. my wonderful dad has come round today and made me a little ramp to help me get the harp out of the house without destroying my back every time. It will make things a million times easier so I am very grateful. I could see him working away in the shed and he looked very happy which made me extremely happy. he is struggling a bit at the mo, had a bad breakdown a long time ago and has phases when it gets a bit much. my granny (on dad's side) is really not well and so we are all worrying a lot about how to make sure she is looked after properly and has everything she needs.

I am still feeling like I am on the verge of tears all the time, but feel better after a good tea - more of monday night's curry :D

I was feeling like everything was out of control - my house is a bomb site, am a week into my food/petrol month and have already spent a substantial chunk of the budget on each! But I know that on the food front, I have bought enough for a while - I do a big shop at the start of the month now and then top up as necessary. So to help get back in control I have done a meal plan (first time in a while that I hadn't done one before going shopping, I didn't like it!) and have only got to buy stuff for a couple of nights worth of dinners. Plus a couple of bits for work sarnies.

sorted my business cards and flyers but it will cost a bit. I knew I would have to get these done at some point, and was originally planning to do them on vistaprint, but due to the turnaround this wasn't an option. they are being done by the partner of a girl from work and his business has fantastic reputation so I have high hopes.

I also need to print a couple of other things off but will work on those tomorrow and sneak them through the work printer on Friday evening. I have bought nice paper though so I feel a bit less like a blagger! :)

tonight I need to shred and do a quick bit of harp before another early night. I managed to catch up on my sleep last night but had to really drag myself out of bed at 8am, was still so tired. Hopefully tomorrow I can have an earlier start as I have loads to fit into the day, before I head off to another wedding fair tomorrow evening! Getting some money for this from my normal agent though, so all going in the kitty towards the non-balance transferred c/c amount!

I will wait until I have made this week's final Mint payment and then ring to close the card - this normally generates another BT offer in which case I can move the amount left on my JL card that First Direct wouldn't let me transfer. It's racking up interest on my JL card which is annoying!

I am so ready for my week off which starts next Friday... feeling very messy at home so hope to be back in control after a lovely weekend away with mum and a few days pottering at home.

Great news on the Harp stuff and the ramp! You'll be glad to get your week off, I'm off this week and have been doing mainly nothing. Its good though :)
  • Busy day yesterday and now I have a day of nothing and feel totally bombed out. sniffled through the corrie repeat, had shower and cleaned the bathroom but am really struggling to find the motivation to do anything other than curl up on the sofa. The weather is awful outside which never helps

I am meant to be going out for cake with my friend this afternoon, not sure what time she is coming so had better find out. hopefully won't sob too much at her again!

I need to sort some music out for a bride and groom who are coming tomorrow morning to here their music choices, plus need to sort some more bits of paper for the wedding fair tomorrow - was planning to do that this evening. I might hunt for a cheerful DVD so can watch that while I sort out the printing etc.

My business cards and flyers look amazing. a crisis was averted when the flyers didn't arrive, but was straight on the phone and they printed them yesterday evening and they were delivered while i was at my harp lesson. I am really pleased with them. And so i should be as they cost a bit!

But hopefully it will be worth it, and I now have materials to send to local hotels/restaurants when I get myself together to make some calls to introduce myself. I hope to do this on my week off, and am putting together a list of things I want to record to go on my myspace page (otherwise I will be handing out cards and flyers and there won't be anything on the website listed!)

I am thinking lots of people who have lost people lately, or who are remembering those who passed away a while ago. There is a lot around at the moment, couple of people at work as well as on here. My grandad's birthday is coming up and am planning a trip up north while I am off, so I can see my granny. I won't be there on the day itself but will be on the day before, so can hopefully go somewhere nice for some lunch or coffee or something, and just share memories.

We always laugh lots when we do this as he was such a character! Now my dog is old and doddery, it takes him a while to get out of bed and I always thing of grandad struggling to get out of his chair. This was never helped by my uncle who would tease him mercifully by going "1...2.....oooh no, 1....2....3...., ooh try again, 1....2! " etc when he was trying to get up, which made it worse as grandad would start laughing!

Not sure where some of this has come from today, so no doubt Monday's counselling session will be interesting and random!

hope everyone has a good weekend - and love to Souk for your friend's mum's funeral x

What is this motivation that you speak of?
