My mum is in the U3A as they call it - I had to ask her if she had joined a cult

There must be something your mum can do now - even if its just a cup of tea with others in the same situation.

Yay to the boss being out, yay to a long weekend, yay to driving - I'd be lost without my car - 3 positives - a la hypno's dd :T now to think of a few more.

    Morning all

Well the party was kinda depressing - don't get me wrong it was nice to see everyone and have a drink, but it was awful to be the only single girl there. Really awful. At one point all the girls were talking about sex and babies and one was saying how everyone should have a baby they are great - it was a very light hearted conversation, most of the girls are married and few have kids already but I had absolutely nothing to add to it.

*Quick and heartfelt THANKYOU to Sarahb123 for the supportive text message*

And if I am totally honest I would love a boyfriend, house and babies. I looked after the kids for a bit last night and its great (obviously not remotely the same/as hard as having one full time)

I never used, I used to love being single, but these days with everyone's life moving on (this was a birthday party - I have been friends with her since we were 25ish) I just don't now, I want a hug I want to shop and cook and plan holidays (this is the group of friends who are all going to France together -no invite for the single girl) and stuff.

I have to make a plan!

(or find a rent a boyfriend firm!!)

but first I really the need the loo - am all snuggled in bed too how annoying!!

    xxxx

    *back snuggled in bed*

Haven't been that long in loo honest! had breakfast and watched another episode of Charmed. Have tea too.

Once I have finished my tea it will be time for some paracetmol headache from last nights drinking.....can't believe it is 12.30 already but do need a bit of nap - got in at three!

The only disappointing thing about yesterday is that for the first time I didn't get my steps so it has ruined my perfect run. I think April was a fairly !!!! month all round, money wise it wasn't pretty, my break was good but it has made me confront a few things about my life. Work has improved - with the head being away. I should take advantage of that. Home life and love life do need some figuring out.

Money wise - paid £600 to loan, £300 to cc (to cover driving lessons, meals out(!) fish buying and random shopping) have very little spending money left but that is ok.

I commit to 10 NSD's in May which WILL be a better month. And I am going to sign up to make £5 a day also which will be for treats rather than debts - it will motivate me far more!

Home life - will sort paper work today when I wake up!! and then tomorrow gardening if weather is ok.

Love life- I think the basic problem is I hang out with the same people doing the same stuff. I need to do different stuff. look up old friends? go new places - all on a budget

    really need nap now tho

    Love Buffy xxx

Aw Buffy, I can sympathise about the whole "all my friends are coupled, married, babied up". Been there done that, so hugs to you.

Don't despair though, you're 34 not 64, there is still plenty of time. If you change one thing, life can change very dramatically and quickly. When a butterfly flaps it's wings and all that. Things will look brighter next week :A

I meant to add, that my sister was single after a couple of long term relationships ended. She had been quite depressed about things for a while, then decided to throw a party for her 36th birthday. She announced (to me only) that this would be the year she met her husband. Sure enough, she married the friend of a friend that DJ'd for her at the party - just over a year later and has never been happier. Everything falls into place when the time is right. :)

Yeah I do believe that Macgirl, I was thinking about it in relation to my driving- all my other attempts have been really scary I have cried and all sorts! but this time it feels different, I feel ready for it? And I am hoping it is the same for the bloke thing, perhaps now I feel more like I would be open to it happening?

Can I just say I REALLY love the new Doctor Who

In other news, I am skint this month, totally forgot to pay for the MOT so now have about £200 to cover lunches, birthday (x2) going out etc.

    hmmm. going to be tough
