What Urg said!I'm the same. Friends go 'What's new with you?' And I go 'Erm...' and feel like saying 'well my house is still a sh1thole, I'm still in the same sh1tty job going nowhere, I still don't have a boyfriend and I'm still skint'. I could probably erase the last 5 years as well and still be in the same position. I do have more savings now for the house though and you have less debt. We're getting there, just take it day by day, making baby steps. I hope that one day those baby steps will gain momentum into giant leaps :A

I think it probably happens to all of us, it's kind of a perspective twist. I certainly have days (weeks) when I feel like that but on a more balanced day I can remember that even if I don't have a boyfriend yet and am dithering about the job, I DO now have a driving licence, a car, and a degree finally bl***y finished. It's not helpful though is it - I wish I could figure out what causes them or how to twist the b****ers back again!
Somebody on an unrelated thread suggested keeping notes of your achievements at work etc - not qualifications passed but compliments, challenges you met well etc. I quite like the idea as it means when you have a downer there's a list of good stuff to remind you - and it might work well for work like yours, Buffy, where it's about people not paper?
More hugs

Hi Buffy, hope you're feeling better.
The break should hopefully give you a chance to recharge your batteries so hopefully between now and then won't be too much of a trial.
