Huff. No. It was expensive, people are rude and all my friends have more money then me. *sulks*

    Sulky self pitying moment over!!!

Well myweekend has been mixed. Had a fab lunch with one of my best friends yesterday. LOVELY person.

then went out on aforementioned crap night - it wasn't all bad just one of my friends got upset and that was hard to see - she will not be comforted silly tart. Any hooo.

one thing my friend said to me really bugged me? She wasn't directing it at me in fact she was being a good friend. One of the girls she has a bridesmaid is over weight and constantly on a diet, wants to lose weight for the wedding and is being sort of akward about dresses etc.

My friend was basically saying the bridesmaid really shouldn't worry about, she didn't care how much she weighed etc or what she looked like - she cared for her friend not her appearance And lets face it she would never lose the weight - and yes she could if she completely changed her life but she hasn't and she won't. It kinda bugged - as some one who is overweight I feel that it is possible to do it and every day has the possibility to be the day you start to do it.

Needless to say my friend (who is lovely btw) is a size 10 -12 and loves sport. And she does think generally people don't change - and that is fine by her it takes all kinds, you should just live your life.

Most of the women I know do live waiting for their ideal life to appear/ be made and she doesn't. I do admire her in so many ways. But on this I do disagree.

So with this in mind I think I might have found some motivation.........I will prove my friend wrong. From the first of March till the first of July I am going to do the following.

    1. Follow a running plan
    2. Take vitamins
    3. Eat breakfast
    4. Get up at 6 each day including the weekend.
    5. From April I will do Weight watchers.

By July I aim to lose 40 pounds.

Also by July I aim to be below 5000 pounds in debt.

    xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Agree with your points 1-5 but think your target by JUly to loose 40 lbs is putting a wee bit too much pressure on you.xxxx

Good luck Buffy :D but I agree with Beanie about setting a realistic target. It will be far more motivating to meet (and maybe even exceed) a goal than try and fail because the goal is unrealistic :)

  • 17 weeks to lose 30 pounds doesn't seem that unrealistic surely? Its an average of 1.7 pounds a week, so some weeks one pound some two?

Or maybe it should be a dress size thing, one of my skinny but EXTREMELY fit friends weighs 13 stone...... I am not saying I will be extremely fit by july mind you! just fitter!

Buffy Break it down...17 weeks is a long time.

4 weeks until Easter Hols, aim to have lost 7 pounds (the first week you will always loose more) by then...then set yourself another goal.
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
