  • Hmmm. Due to weddings hen nights and guinea pig cages I have not got enough money to make a big overpayment to the loan.

This in itself isn't a huge problem. I am still CC free and not in anymore debt. Current loan amount = 10500.48

I should be able to pay at least a 100 off I think. Which is not to be sniffed at. I have been doing Cash back stuff again so that will make a couple of quid (every little bit helps!!) and surveys (paypal to pay out soon)

Holiday wise - Sat/Sun - great weekend away with my friends

Monday - stayed in bed as is the first Monday tradition and then spent the afternoon watching movies with Mum

Tuesday - ill and went to work, same for Wednesday -went to dinner at a mates house, Thursday- rough in the morning but went to work, Friday, saw a friend for breakfast, lunch at home, Babysitting in the evening,
Today, helped my dear friend sort out her Mother's house. That was so sad. Came home exhausted. went to bed and then spent the evening watching tv with Mum.

Tomorrow needs to be the day I feel better, set up the Gp's cage and W/c the fish plus get sorted for Monday etc. I do not feel so bad about work at the moment. There are bigger more important things in life - like seeing my friends and spending time with Mum. Seeing my friend grieve has stirred up a lot of feelings for me, memories of how determinded I was to LIVE and not just exist. Trouble is that kind of living takes a kind of fearlessness that is hard to hang on to in day to day life. Existing becomes the default position, the easy thing to do. I must remember although I have made progress there are still risks to be taken and different paths to take (as well as debts to be paid!)

Must be up early tomorrow so best get a shift on to bedfordshire
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Not sure what to say really :grouphug:

Having lost one parent, I totally get the absolute terror that rips through you when you think the remaining one is in some kind of danger. My dad went on a month long driving trip a while after my mum died & every day was an agony of waiting for his text or call. I hope you have good news.

As to your illness, I often find that those mega doses of vitmain c give me a boost of energy to get done what needs to be done, a wee bit of fresh air & then rest, rest & a bit more rest, along with chocolate of course ;)

Thinking of you & never forget your Fabulousness :A

"Courage is not the absence of fear, it is the ability to act in the presence of fear."

But then, i know a little about risk too. Timing is an important factor in any large decision you make and if you do not feel settled that the consequences of failing are acceptable, the risk is either too great or the time is not right.

You do more than just exist Buffy. You have your friends and family around you and are making huge strides in repaying your debts. It might not be the lifestyle you want, but you are moving closer to it every day. I guess we're just taking the scenic route :)

Hope you're feeling better now and taking some time out for yourself.

Edit: Just had a look at an old post of yours. 1½ years ago you owed £10k more than you do now. I know dealing with debts and trying to overpay them can be draining and it seems like all your hard work is not giving you the benefits, but that's quite an achievement. You have ambition, dreams and motivation - the drive you have is going to help you when you have something other than debt to focus on and you will be looking at things from a better perspective too.

I hope you feel better today buffy - I too am having a day when I am determined that I will get myself in a fit state to do a good week's work. Not sure yet what I will do to get myself in that condition, but I will think of something, I'm sure!!

Morning my friend, really hope you feel a bit brighter today.

Some positives for you to remember.........
    • You are surrounded by people who genuinely love you
    • You are an excellent teacher (I wont forget that grade 1 you got) but unfortunatelly you are teaching in a nut house.
    • You ARE smashing your debts down (see GerogeUK post)
    • You are a beautiful person and despite the crap that you have to deal with you never fail to be caring towards others.
    • And..................................you have a cracking pair of norks:D:rotfl:no SERIOUSLY you DO!
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Nothing to add - Lula, Lou, George and Hypno have said it all :A

Buffy, remember you are a wonderful person, loved by many in the 'real' and 'virtual' worlds (and looking at last weekend's pics - where those worlds meet too :))

Hope you feel better today, take care of you :A
