So sorry guys,
I had to literally run off to work the minute the call ended, then I had my kids sports day, then I did an extra shift at work.
It was fine, really nice lady rang me 5 minutes early
We have a love of dogs in common, and when she heard ours bark, she asked what we've got and was really jealous so that broke the ice.
She added things into our budget, which was already quite tight, but we are OK to set up a DMP, at £5 per creditor per month, £35.
Apparently we have to allow £20 per month for car maintenance, £20 for birthdays and Christmas and £7 for something else, cant remember what. She said grocery allowance was too low at £315....we had originally set it at £200 until advice from Wonder Girl :rotfl:
As our income increases, then the DMP payments can increase accordingly. What we plan to do is save every penny we can, get to a certain level then pay lump sums. Maybe get a buffer of £1000 in case of emergencies then save for lump sum payments. At our £35 per month, our DFD is something like 26 years away
All info is coming in the post, now we just have to hope our creditors agree and stop the interest etc. Still a way to go, but at least we've started to do something about our problem.
Thanks so much for all your advice and good wishes.
I couldn't have got through this without you lot :A :A :A :AIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I was expecting a Yorkshire lad or lass to ring me, was surprised to get a broad Glasgow accent !!!
I'd be happier paying a bit more but will just save money wherever I can.
I really am ever so grateful for all your help.

I know...we even discussed our hairdressing needs :rotfl: Why hadn't I included a monthly haircut in the budget, wouldn't it make me feel better to have a treat :rotfl:
They didn't want us to have to live on beans on toast...tried to explain that I actually really like beans on toast, but no
At £35 per month, I will be retired by the time we're solvent. My kids will be in their 30s :eek:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
