Hey atwitsend that is brilliant news! Welcome to the world of the full time SAHM! I am loving being at home with the kids - might be that I will need to make some money from somewhere before long but for now I am just too busy being a SAHM!

Just booked a late summer holiday today after a bit of a dilemma - sometimes decisions can be tough.
    3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

  • Welcome back Atwitsend :) and congrats on becoming a SAHM!

Well I have just washed all the moses basket covers and now the pram covers etc are in the wash getting ready for baby to come :j It is so exciting! I only have 4 weeks left if baby decides to come at 37 weeks like ds :j I am starting to get really excited (.... and a bit scared!) Who else is due soon?

I am not going to do much today other than washing baby stuff and getting it dried.

I am going to make carrot soup for tea. I haven't made it before. I thought I might change a carrot and coriander reciepe to carrot and watercress. I have low iron levels - but not levels low enough to give me tablets. i am trying to eat an iron rich diet and I love watercress. i thought I would give the carrot soup a peppery taste?? What do you think? Me and DH don't like corriander. I will give it a try.

It was a disaster :( I think I made the stock too weak and it tasted awful. And it was a shame because ds normally won't touch soup (he isn't a fussy eater he just seems to turn his nose up at soup - always has) he helped me blitz it in food processor and because he saw it was full of carrots (his fav food in the whole world!) he was keen to try it ...... but it really was awful ....so he turned his nose up while I pretended to like it :rotfl:I lasted about 3 mouthfuls! :rotfl:I will buy it in future :o

  • Hi, This thread had gone quiet so thought I would check you are all ok?

I need the nesting instict to start :rotfl: Hopefully it will soon! I have cleaned the kitchen and bathroom today and taken ds to a tots group but I have had to have a nap. I get tired now.

Ds has 2.5yr check with HV tomorrow - can anyone tell me what they do?? I am not worried about anything but it would be nice to know what to expect. I am hoping he behaves for it - and performs well :D

    Hope you are all ok.

Hey - where has everyone gone? Have we all lost the motivation to be organised or are we just all too busy and tired to post?

My jobs list has gone off the scale now and I actually would like a kip - hubby is away all week so I am home alone with three kids and two cats and a mountain of stuff to do.

Earth (or should I say MSE) calling all SAHMS!!!

    Hi

Not sure about everyone else but these past few weeks have been a nightmare, my organisation has gone out of the window and I am really struggling.

Hope everyone getting on ok :)
  • Hi I am here .............. and trying to be organised but ow 37 weeks preggers so it is getting harder and harder to be organised :o

I am finding that I am using ds's nap time to sleep myself rather than do housework. I am then trying to do housework when he is awake or at weekends but he likes to 'help' and I don't get much done. I am trying to nap in the day if I need it because ds came at 37 weeks - so I keep thinking I need to make sure I have lots of sleep in case I go into labour one evening/night.

I wish I knew when this baby was coming so I could plan more.

I have hospital bag packed. I did a big shop about a week ago and stocked up on stuff for the cupboards like pasta, cereal, juice etc but I think I will have to do that again at the weekend for more stuff if baby isn't here. I have all the baby stuff ready I think although I keep thinking of stuff I have forgotten. I have a small list of stuff to get this week.

I am trying to stay an orgainsed mum.

Then you are doing really well!!! You need to grab as much sleep as you can before nipper comes so dont feel bad about it :)

Thinking of you and I will pray for the baby to come soon x
