Ok, first of all, SugarSpun I got tired just READING your list!!! What a productive day for you! I'm afraid too productive a day like that and I'd be recuperating for days on end! :rotfl:
MSD - glad your tooth is all taken care of. That must have been a bit unnerving going through it though! You probably scared the dentist silly!
Let's see... what have I done today? um... nothing! hahahahahahhaa
We went over to visit MIL and SIL with the kids. Did a small bit of shopping (oh, but I picked up a few things we needed for the boys - does that actually count as getting something done? LOL). Came home, fed the boys. Now lounging on the sofa with the laptop. DH even made lunch for me.
Maybe tomorrow.... LOLMSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -

We went round his exes house to visit her new baby was looking foward to it as normally her house is immaculate and hubby says why cant I be more like her.
well disaster she has 4week old son and house is immacultly clean only sign of baby was baby in rocker chair in lounge, silver sterilser in kitchen to match her other appliances and carseat in down stairs loo, pram stays in car boot.
Upstairs no better immaculate clean bedroom, bathroom and nursury looked like she taken truck to mamas and papas and transported whole room back.
I asked if lots hidden in loft or garage she said no and garden was lovley well kept too.
I said to hubby ahh you wait until his 1st xmas all the toys they get as that majority of clutter in my lounge plus basket of cloth nappies, buggy , activity station.

Hi gailey, coping with small children is always difficult and messy too, there will always be one person who manages to slot a newborn into life as though they are an ornament but they will get a huge shock when the newborn becomes a toddler etc!! I have taken to concentrating on making the living room always presentable and then blitzing one room at a time. But if I get sick and cant then the whole house falls apart and I take weeks getting it back together again. Your OH ex is his ex for a reason and next time he tells you to be more like her remind him that if you were then you wouldnt be together!! Good luck, and remember they are not small forever and eventually you can get them to help too.0

Hi there,
Some advice needed please, my baby is now just over 3 weeks old, my OH goes back to work on Monday and Ihave no idea what to do with myself... I have already been a bit bored whilst he has been out shopping ect. I can only do short walks with baby as still quite sore/tender doing housework ect but 5 days a week sat at home is not my idea of fun. I know i can maybe drive to visit mum, but that costs petrol money and I don't want to be spending much. All my friends have no children, and they work What do people do all day???
I think I may go mad.
Help pleaseI need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0 -
Ask your health visitor for a list of local groups, joining a local mums and babies/tots group would be great for you and the baby too, socialising a young baby is great for them later. Best of all you will get to meet other mums in your area to chat to and support each other. You will soon find you have so much to do and no time to get it all done.
Relax and enjoy every minute cos it doesnt last long.

Hi all! I need this thread again!! Sorry I have been gone so long!
I had a baby daughter on 2nd June. My hubby took 2 weeks paternity leave. I am now into my second week on my own. Ds has been really good with dd. Last week went well. I got to all our normal tots groups and seen friends so our routine was normal for ds. But trying to find time to do housework is a nightmare!! Hubby did the food shopping.
This week hasn't started very well because I am breastfeeding and have mastitis. So I've stayed in. But hoping to get in a good routine soon.SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0
