Ragz- would it not have been easier to leave them packed till you move again??
I know how you feel because this is a temp house I resolved not to unpack everything and to some extent I havent - all the big garden toys are stored in the garage - as its winter kids havent really missed them too much. Having only moved 3/4 months ago I am not looking forward to the whole moving thing again, although while we have been here I have made some big steps to getting rid of stuff and making things easier to move - have gotten rid of almost all the chunky TVs and gotten kids all little small ones - and of course after yesterday another big chunky monster left the building and has been replaced with a LCD slim one that I can lift.
Todays list (although I really have no enthusiasm at all today - had no sleep had to sit up with cat all night!!)
Washing x 2
Strip bed
Dryer x1
Shopping
Tidy liv rm
Tidy Din Rm
Tidy Kitchen
Tidy Bathroom
Sort all socks etc from peg hangers
Organise meals

No, most of it was junk that just needed chucking and as we'd moved house twice with similar boxes of junk I have decided it won't happen again and it's all going in the bin as we didn't use any of it in 3 years!
Spoke to letting agent about property we were interested in but apparently the person in it has been served notice so they don't know when it'll be available (depends whether the person leaves willingly or has to be evicted). Which is annoying as we only have 3 weeks to decide if we're leaving in April....
Baby's been sleeping all morning so I swept instead of vacuuming and also managed to clean the loo.
Must wake baby up now for a feed before taking her to pick up boys from preschool at 12 then inlaws coming over this afternoon...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Ragz- can you not allow your existing contract to run out and fall into a rolling contract?
The contract on our last place ran out and we had the rolling deal for a further nine years.
It would allow you to leave at two months notice and give you the time to look into other properties.0 -
Hi all,
Triggles - Hope you are ok. Big hugs. Glad you posted to say hi
Kidcat - to what hapenened to your TV! How scary! I have now added fire bankets to my shoping list cos I realised we don't have one and it could be handy one day!
Ragz - I have just sorted out boxes that we have moved and not unpacked twice and I can not beleive how much I have got rid of! How stupid of us not to have sorted and chucked it the first time! IF (and it is a big IF - we bought this house to be our forever family home) we ever move again I will try not to box up crap ever again and never unpack it! And I also have a good think before storing stuff in the loft etc because it never seems to come back down!
Yesterday I was good and cleaned and tidied all the main rooms. My friend came round this morning and ds managed to get ALL his toys out while we cooed over her new baby :rotfl: so the house is tidy apart from his toys which I will tidy up tonight. So I am now very broody so good job I have one on the wayNo one will be allowed to bring new babies around in 2 years time cos I am having no more
.
If ds has a nap (he is currently in his room trying to go to sleep but sounds like he is clearing his book shelf) I need to get some stuff out the spare room and have a sort out. I like it when the house is tidy cos I can do 'extra' jobs that need doing.

Money saving Diva - I used three yesterday:o which apparently was overkill.:rotfl: But I have to say my mind blanked and I couldnt remember which fire extinguisher was electrical stuff and which wasnt so settled on the fire blanket as I know I can use in on kitchen stuff. In the last house we had the fire extinguishers wall mounted and they were positioned so that I knew which was which instantly - not that I ever used them - oh except for the last time we were broken into and I threw it at the intruder!! Again apparently its better to squirt them than throw it at them
We cleared our loft out a few months before moving because we were installing insulation - waste of money as we were thrown out not much later- but it did mean the loft had been sorted - although if my OH had been left to it, he would have just put everything back:)
When we moved here I decided that there was still alot of stuff to go but as we were short on time and space it all went into loft, i always intended doing some car boots sales to get rid but as yet havent managed many. So have just started ebaying stuff, aiming to sell at least five items a week, some weeks it all goes but others nothing. It doesnt seem like I have got rid of anything if you look and I certainly havent even begun on the loft yet. Probably if I sold everything we need to get rid of I would have another 10% deposit to put towards the new house.0 -

I have been thinking along those lines, guess a chat with the estate agents is in orderI just hate ahving to make big decisions like this!

Tell me about it! I keep telling DH that if we haven't used it in 2/3/4 years then we obviously don't need it! He's such a hoarder!
Just bought baby an Amazonas Koala Hammock (off Amazon, as I had some vouchers) that has just arrived and been put up. Not as impressed with it as I thought I'd be but we'll see how it goes tonight, the thing may yet end up on ebay (not baby, she's being pretty good!).
My grandma turned up for a visit earlier which was lovely, then inlaws shortly after she left so not got much done but dinner is in process...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Well I sorted a few boxes out! Yay! I put xmas decs & xmas stuff from 2 overflowing cardboard boxes into a nice big plastic box with a lid that I got last week ready for that little much needed job
they can live in there now nicely and there is no room to buy any more decs so that will be money saving
While sorting out the boxes I found more stuff for a carboot we are doing in a few weeksThe sorting/clearing out for this baby is actually quite
therapeutic I think I might have started nesting early!
..But I was quite noisey sorting out the boxes and woke ds up and that really wasn't a good idea :rotfl:but have just put him to bed for the night now and he has gone to sleep no probs as he was tired from his short nap earlier.
I haven't done any washing today so I must get on top of that tomorrow then I am going round a mates house for [STRIKE]the boys to destroy her house[/STRIKE]have a natter I mean

I tried watching that but lasted about 10 minutes before saying "Oh my God, that's horrible, I can't watch this, how on earth are those women doing that!?"
To which DH replied "I've had to watch it 3 times so now you can see what I had to go through!"
I didn't watch it, and he got a slap!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
