  • Right I am being bad again today :o need a kick up the bum. I am going to write a small list so I do it! :D

Ds just having nap cos we are just back from swimming lessons, so I now have about an hour of peace to run around like a loon! :D to do:

    [STRIKE]
Clear toys off floor so I can sweep
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]sweep all hard floors then mop[/STRIKE]clean lunch stuff up
    take some stuff upstairs
    [STRIKE]hang up wet washing[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]wash swimming kits[/STRIKE]

    and ..
cook tea (i got a cottage pie out freezer I made a few weeks ago cos I am feeling lazy - so glad I have started freezing stuff like this. love it :D)
    [STRIKE]clean bathroom[/STRIKE]

..........right.............3,2,1 i must, i must get off the internet........

I am back after running round like a loon :D
Haven't done all on the list yet but I did some dusting and that wasn't on my list :p

To add to the other conversation going on - I must say I have a very good dh, he is very good with ds and does do some house stuff but not quite as much as I think he should. Little things annoy me but I think I am prob a bit petty cos if it was all the other way around and I worked I would prob be very lazy when I came home. (Although I tended to do all the housework when we both worked full time before children ) Things that annoy me a bit are if he cooks he hardly ever clears up after himself and he manages to create so much mess! I also only ever expect him to put his dirty washing in the washing basket and I will do the rest ... he never seems to be able to find the basket and his washing doesn't get done then ;) this has been an on going 'issue' :rotfl:

But he is very thoughtful and is great at the weekends etc giving me a rest - especially when I am pregnant. he is very thoughtful so I don't like to moan and I am far from the best sahm so I can not moan. ;)

Ouch!! It wouldn't be pretty if that happened in this house!! DH is actually good about that kind of thing. He makes tea in the evenings (or I do and he watches the boys, depending on what we're having), we both feed and change the boys, as well as general care and household stuff. We both live here and we are both their parents, so we both do household and childcare stuff. Doesn't matter that DH works outside the home and I don't.

Blimey... lucky you! Playing with the kids for 5 minutes is the biggest contribution my DH makes, (and forgetting the bins as I mentioned earlier!) he's meant to do the garden but being a gardener that doesn't happen so it and our garage are a total state. Our garage is such a mess, he's been "going to do it at the weekend" for about 6 months - then weekend comes and I get " I've been working all week I'm not doing anything!" - wish I could say that about the housework and kids!

Am still managing to keep house under control and a reasonable grip on the organisation front. Done everything on my last list and as it's half term there's no point writing one for now as I'll never manage any of it - can't run errands/shop etc with a baby and two toddlers! (Or rather, I'm not stupid enough to try!)
SIL took the boys out for an hour (to the car wash lol) earlier so I managed to get to the bank, finally. Food shop was done yesterday. Hoping I won't NEED to do anything else this week that I'd find hard with 3 kids - it's bad enough taking them all in the car to visit people, everything takes twice as long now!

DS1 now has HUNDREDS of chicken pox! He had it once as a baby but only mildly so now he has it again... baby seems to be managing not to get it so far, hopefully my immunity plus breastfeeding should give her enough antibodies not to get it just yet.

So it looks like we won't be doing much going out this half term, he looks dreadful, they're all over his face.

I had chicken pox when pregnant with DS 11 and the doctors reckoned it would mean he wouldnt catch it as he would be immune. Yet when he was three he got the worst case I have ever seen and that turned into pneumonia. So watch him carefully ragz, dont take any chances. I wish there was a vaccine for chicken pox as its just as dangerous as any of the others.

There is - I had it because I work in the NHS and despite being the oldest of 7 I've never had it.

Maybe they need to introduce it

It doesn't provide any immunity against shingles in adulthood, Glam. It's offered here along with the MMR, but I'm not sure I'm going to let Molly have it.
