Hi everyone, its a beautiful day here very sunny and its definitely lifted my spirits. We are going out for a meal with my parents today so no cooking (and no dishes to sort afterwards either
)
My list for today was fairly light
Shopping - while OH did school run
Tidy Liv Rm, Din Rm
Fill DW
Collect DD3 from nursery
View House - exciting one this and has definitely perked my mood up
Hoover Din Rm
Sort wiring DVD recorder thingy into Din RM
Sort wiring DVD/Video machine into DS5 room
Sort hair for tonight
Sort outfits for everyone tonight
And I am very pleased to say I have done them all. :j
House viewing went well and its a definite maybegot another couple to look at then its off to beg the bank to lend us a mortgage.
**** Forgot to say - to get the smell out of the carpet have you tried putting bicarbonate of soda down and then hoovering after an hour or so, its really good at getting rid of carpet smells.0 -
msd - hope your little one is feeling better soon. It's just horrible when the kids are sick, isn't it? You just feel so badly for them and want to make it better.
Oh goodness, hopefully we can start getting back on track now. Nits done. Colds going away finally. I finally managed to get to a coffee morning the other day and met some very nice women with kids roughly the same age. It was great! And they've let me know about a good playgroup locally as well, so I'm hopeful about that.
I've got a long list of stuff that needs to get done in the near future:
- payments sent out for 2 loans by Monday
- start organising meal plan and grocery list for next week
- pick up nappies and milk (and possibly a few other items, will have to check)
- vacuum living room and entryway
- clean kitchen floor (sooooooo overdue!!)
- clean upstairs and downstairs bathrooms
- declutter living room shelf
- change sheets and wash on all beds (thinking of doing these different days, as I hate sheets all over all weekend!)
DH & I have still been discussing (off and on) the heated clothing rack from Lakeland. It's pricey (£80?) but it would dry things like towels and sheets easier and quicker, which would be very helpful. Not to mention with DS2 potty training, we have a LOT of laundry and when he gets to the point where we have to try going dry at night, I'm expecting a lot of laundry from that as well.MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -

SAHM until 1st June when I go back to work
Finally somewhere I can post a list of things I need to do and actually feel guilty when I've not done stuff!!
Today I have
Cleared the nursery of crap ready for the cot to go in there tomorrow
Cleared under my bed so the mattress from the nursery can go under there
Sorted clothes for recycling
Moved said mattress
3 loads of washing - I don't iron anything except OH's work shirts.
Cleaned the bathroom
I need to do a deep clean and declutter everywhere so that when I go back to work it's just a case of keeping on top of everything.
Jobs for tomorrow
Hoover & polish nursery
Dismantle, move and reassemble cot
While hoover's out - hoover our bedroom, landing & stairs.
Not too much cos I tend to do most Housework on a Monday.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Glamazon - welcome to the thread! It definitely helps to have somewhere to write your lists, feels so good when you get to cross stuff off.
My to do list is looking better...
Baby Abigail is now registered, so I can send off birth certificate to HB and CB.
Made the fruit salad, I'm the only one that ate any but I'm not complaining!
Have meal planned for next week and off to the shops in a minute, also to Argos to get a radiator for the bedroom so I can keep baby warm at night without having to have the ancient boiler on all the time. Very pleased to find it's half price at the moment!
Am keeping on top of the housework pretty well, even got DH to vacuum this morning. Didn't let him go to wrk Friday so he's back Monday but baby's settling better now so I'm thinking I can hopefully cope ok (it'll be a long day).
Ds2 still got pox all over him but apart from waking a few times last night he's not been too bad.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

As for bicarb, I go through loads, especially since my DS11 started watching How clean is your house, now every time I try to do anything he tells me I should use bicarb instead.money_saving_diva wrote: »Going to a christening tomorrow QUOTE]

How about a childs cutlery set, you can often get them engraved with the childs name. I have bought several from Studio catalogue and also HSamuel too.0
