I do the lovely Pigpen's Flylady on the Old Style board.

I did look at the actual site but didn't like it.
With the OS one you can just do level one which is easy or all 3 if you like a challenge. I don't read the whole thread as it's too busy but post my list every day and when I finish.
It's great, my friends think I'm soooo sad!

Morning everyone and Hello to everyone joining :)

just wanted to agree with triggles about pregnancy loss, it is very hard to relax, i had a missed miscarriage before DD and a miscarriage before DS. and i also agree about the technicians lacking manner, I had my 18 week scan with the preg before DD, and he told me with no emotion whatsoever ''this pregnancy has terminated itself, you need to decide whether you want a d&c or naturally'' i was absolutely devastated.
but on a positive note i do have 2 healthy bouncing children. With DS i fell down the stairs at 40+1 i broke my back at the same time, but DS was perfectly fine and even extended his stay to arrive 8 days late :D

anyway i can go on and on about preg baby stories but i dont want to bore you hehe.

    :eek::eek::eek:
How did you cope with that?? My ds came the day we were moving house  I thought that was bad enough!

Thank you all for your kind words about pregnancy loss. Actually the sonographer at that scan was the nicest person I have ever met in the NHS. She had a tear in her eye and obviously found it difficult to tell us our baby had died. She knew we had no idea anything was wrong (I had no mc symptoms and had bad morning sickness still). She was as nice as she could be. I can not say the same about any member of staff I had to deal with after that :( No one treated me like a grieving mother - which is how I felt. I was devastated.
Anyway yes the woman at my scan was rather crap yesterday. We are considering a private scan. We had one at 9 weeks with this pregnancy to make sure the baby was OK passed the point our last baby had died and they treated us really well.

Anyway..........on with getting organised...... the snow kept me and ds at home today so I did do some housework but not as much as I would have liked. Nevermind....I will give myself a kick up the bum tomorrow - after I have taken DS to Yoga Bugs and I have met up with my best mate for a coffee :D ...please someone kick me NOW...I need to get organised!

  • Talk about sonographers has brought back memories... when I was pregnant with DS I was high risk for downs and other things. Because of this I was due a detailed scan. When I got there I was scared and didnt know what to expect. The lady sonographer started the ultrascan and after about 2 minutes said in a very harsh tone that she couldnt see anything and that the baby probably has downs and just deal with it and to go home. I started to cry, not because the baby might have downs but what she said and HOW she spoke to me. Then she turned around to see me crying and looked at me and said why are you crying, stop it, stop it, stop it now, stop being an idiot. I tryed to stop and was so embarrassed. I even appologised to her! Later on though we complained about her actions and the hospital didn't say sorry. I had to go back for another scan (20 week scan) a week later and I was so scared I would have that lady, I didn't though. I'm still upset about it now:(.

    Anyway back to today ....
    I will
Declutter living room today and thats it :) a chill out day today

    Good morning!

Well, today it is raining but that is good, go away snow! I am a southern softie and not used to the freezingness of late.

Today's list is small because it is Thursday and it is be nice to myself day!

    List:
    - [STRIKE]put a load of washing on[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]hang up to dry[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]put tax credits cheque into bank[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]buy some bubble bath, whatever you fancy, NOT the cheapest![/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]clean mould from DS's bedroom walls[/STRIKE] - ick
    - [STRIKE]measure desk in his room and put it on Freecycle[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]print OU application and fill in[/STRIKE]
    - wash up
    - [STRIKE]ring parent partnership about applying for junior schools[/STRIKE]

    There, easy peasy.

Ex-OH is coming round this evening to play with DS and he's buying us a chinese which will be nice. And for once I won't be embarrassed by the mess cos there's hardly any! :j:j:j

Have a good day all, hope all schools are on!

    xx

Done the dreaded linen/airing cupboard! Took an hour, just had to drag everything out and dump on LR floor then sort into piles. Done now though and it's tidy for the first time ever, though oddly still stuffed full despite me getting rid of 3 sacks full of stuff in the process....

OH dug my car out and we piled in the kids only to pull off and realise the tyre was flat so we didn't manage the food shop i had planned. Will have to wait until tomorrow...
