Maybe your mind isn't used to being able to relax after all these years of debt busting? Running is good for getting you off to sleep later.....

  • Hi hypno

I really sympathise with the sleep thing. With me, its fall asleep inthe chair, wake up at 1/2am and then go to bed and take a good 30 mins or so to nod off again. Things I am doing to overcome this - not always succeeding - but nevertheless Im making a start is to make sure Im not depriving myself of sleep so when I do get to bed its not midnight its say 10/11pm so Im having a good nights sleep. When I can do this I dont wake up in the middle of the night for some reason. Having a nice warm bath, milky drink are other things Im trying and as I say if I can get to bed before falling asleep in the chair first, they work!! Take care of yourself
My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T

Sympathies from me on the sleep too, hypno - thats exactly the sort of sleeplessness that I get. For me, there's two things that'll make it worse:
    - lack of exercise
    - adrenal exhaustion - not cos we're worrying, but just (ha! "just") the long term stress that we're under - I've used a milk thistle tonic to help detox in the past. I know you're shattered when you go to bed, but it may not be the right sort of shattered - just like the wrong sort of snow......

  • Hi Hypno

Sorry to hear about your frustration with the waking up. Me and partner are both having that at the moment. Partner is physically exhausted every day through work but still wakes up. I did watch a programme about night terrors and when they film people through the night and they did say there were things to rule out and one was a blood sugar drop. Not sure if that is caused by having high carbs late in the evening.

I have slept through two nights recently and I think they were evenings on which I had had a lovely hot bubble bath so maybe that is a thing to try. I will try tonight and let you know. Do you think you can fit in a long soak this evening?? Or even a short one??
