    Good morning Hypno,

Sorry to hear the sleeps not going too well. Sounds like you're doing well with another fiver on the scratchies and another payout too.

I'm just starting my day off so tired that work becomes a struggle.....I need my sleep!

£25 normal monthly payment has gone to the 0% card, so I will update my sig....just one more small debt payment to be made this month, and that will be it for January.....the money is then all gone :o Roll on payday!!

Just read back about your night waking. I do sympathise, as I had a few years of the same thing (toddler induced though), but the middle of the night is not a good place.

Running regularly might sort that out for you  My OH has always been a bad sleeper, now he's triathlon training he sleeps like a baby.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow, then once the snow melts the training can start in earnest ;)

    Hi hypno

Do you remember I had the same sleep problem last year when I had all the stress with my family and health. One thing that did help was no cheese or chocolate after 6 pm. Not sure why but it did!

Anyway I sympathise ......... have checked banking etc etc, Barclays have opened us a new account - no idea why - will have to do some investigating on that one.

DS got back to Swansea no problem yesterday - trains were on time and everything. He is coming back tomorrow!!!

Anyhow i'm off to get breakfast and then an early start into work today - its freezinf fog here at the moment.

    Take Care

You're on the home run now Hypno, and not being hammered by all the ultra high interest rates anymore. So do try to relax and take some time out for you.

tried editing my post but it won;t let me - also made sure I had at least an hour wind down from the computer before going to bed - that really does help

se, the strange thing is that it is not debt related stuff that generally keeps me awake (although, obviously it has been in the past) and for example last night I could give no reason whatsoever for being awake, so I really don't understand it. I'm not worried by anything on a "sleepless nights" scale, IYSWIM.....but obviously *something* is getting to me, and I need to find out what it is before it sends me barmy, or before I make mistakes at work through being too tired.

surfbabe, I always read before sleep.....always have done, no matter how early or late I choose to go to bed. If I don't read, I can't get to sleep. As it is, I am having no problems getting to sleep, it is the awful waking up at 2am thing I have to sort. But yes, you are probably right in that the laptop should be switched off a bit earlier.

Back to MSE news - hoping for another NSD today. I had to give DD busfare to get to college....she has her GCSE science exam at school this morning, then has to go to college where she studies on a Thursday, but because she won't be going at the normal time, her bus pass won't cover her for the full journey.....so an unavoidable spend, which I am not going to include in my NSD challenge, because there is simply no way round it, other than either not sitting the exam, or not going to college afterwards (although I am sure she would be content with either of those options!)....
