Morning Hypno, good luck with the WW, you will be fine.
As I haven't read all of your diary not sure if you have ever or you do the shop and scan? If not might be worth doing to build up some vouchers for christmas.I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Does everyone not have a reindeer about their person, then gallygirl :rotfl:
In the split second it took me to realise I'd misread it I pictured one of those little gold chocolate Lindt reindeers, then thought 'nah, she'd have eaten that'A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

We did spend ages doing some sort of scanning thing, but it wasn't the one that actually resulted in any vouchers, so we gave up. I would gladly do something that was actually worthwhile. In the split second it took me to realise I'd misread it I pictured one of those little gold chocolate Lindt reindeers, then thought 'nah, she'd have eaten that'
Very true.......very true.........**goes off to work out how many WW points in a chocolate reindeer**
Just picked up a mystery shop for a couple of weeks time......they are still fairly few and far between, so am happy to grab the occasional one!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I got to goal of 9 st 4 about 5 and a half years ago.....then dad died, and I happily binged my way to 11 stone......then I had many half hearted attempts at losing the weight again, almost achieving it at one point.....but the sabatoeur part of my brain always won at the end of the day......and when OH left me, I was just shy of 12 stone as the weight had steadily crept on.
I've lost about half a stone since he went, which has stayed off without any effort (ok, the lack of eating did sort of play a part!), but I now want to capitalise on that, and use it to my advantage.....so sort of say that in some small way he has done me a favour (see, playing mind games with myself to hopefully pull myself through this whole situation).
My clothes don't fit me - what was too small has been given to the charity shop, which left me only things that make me look and feel a frump. I know that in the grand scheme of things, a few lbs is not the be all and end all - I am fairly healthy, and less than a year ago I proved I could run a marathon, so I know that all in all I should not get too stressed about what the scales or the clothes labels say.......but.....I am 40 at the end of the year, and am looking to that point to say that my life begins, and I do not want to have to buy an even bigger frock for the occasion.
I do recognise that there is a self-destruct part of me which will be in danger of either using this as a "control" thing, (given the wider-scenario, quite possibly), or a sabotage element which will remind me that I am a failure at all things in life from time to time, that will always lead me back to my faithful friend Mr Chocolate bar.......
Hopefully by recognising these things now and being very aware of their potential, I can deal with them as I go with an attitude that is both positive, sustainable, and (most importantly) healthy.
9 stone 4 is not achievable.....or if it is, it is not sustainable for me. I shall aim for 9 st 13 - that is just about a stone and a half to lose, is nicely within my healthy bmi, and is 9lbs over my previous goal which should prove enough "breathing space" to be sustainable once it is reached.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. (oops posted this as you were posting about WW - not sure how many points Spag Bol is - maybe you should forget it's there?)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 8 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 16 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!0 -
Its ok - spag bol has been incorporated into today's points......I'm not about to start either wasting food, or unnecessarily spending on extra "diet friendly" stuff, when portion control and cutting out chocolate is really more like what is needed. Also, I need to maintain a healthy way of eating for all of us - the last thing I want is for DD to rekindle her own food "issues" if she sees me sitting with a tomato and a stick of celery, while I feed them pizza.....
I'm after "healthy" this time......for me, and for those around meSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Healthy sounds good........... what a pain about no clothes of the right size tho. The ways you need to come down in weight sound exactly like mine - portion control and chocolate. If I have chocolate, I eat it. I can't even say I'll have one once a week - I have to Not Eat Chocolate. I'll still slip and have the occasional bar, but thats a slip, not an allowance - I've learned over time I can't do it any other way.
Hope WW goes well.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
