    hi all
will throw in my two cent worth,,,
me and kids have the eczema gene
ive always used fairy non bio with no problems ,,however after the cut back last year i had to find cheaper powder,,,,surprise....lydle nonbio ,,,is brilliant €5-99 and last 5month @ (80g)5 - 6 washes a week ,,so good value as well
tend to find conditioners are a problem,.....or rather the wash machine not rinsing well enough ..so tend to use 1/3 of the recommended dose ..

also after bathing ,,,dry off with a flannel before towelling and use a cheap emulsifying cream like silcox base on the bad areas of skin all the time

I've tried the washballs, but wasn't impressed - we have really hard water in our area, and I think that made a difference to their performance.

DD is now 15, and thankfully her flare ups are much reduced, so she has definitely grown out of it in the main......although when she was much younger, she was very ill with it, and we tried every food combination, homeopathy/aromatherapy, creams, potions, shower gels etc......the wet wraps were very stressful in themselves, but they did do the trick for her, and it was almost as though the fire had been estinguished by the suffocation of the bandages!

Just collected DS from the football.......now going to wrap myself up in my duvet with a hot water bottle :)

Have you tried aloe vera for eczma? My mum gets it and swears by it. She uses a 100% aloe vera gel which is easier to put in her handbag than an aloe vera plant, and reckons it does the job a treat. It's also great for other conditions (nappy rash, for example).

When does your bed arrive Hypno?

Not a moment too soon! I've not heard from them yet but they did say 4-5 weeks, so I suppose it is a bit soon to chase them. Might give them a little reminder towards the end of the week.......

Morning all. 4-5 weeks is an awful long time to be without a bed :(
Hopefully though - new bed = new sleep pattern :)

Thanks Pickle and Shaun for the ezcema info. I do have Aloe Vera gel - it was brilliant for cooling itchy chickenpox, so might try that too.

    Have a good day everyone!

morning all.......yes, I do look forward to having a bed to sleep in, that much is certain!

Today I take the plunge that is weightwatchers. Scary thought though it is :o I will be heading up there at lunchtime as there is a session in the city, so today marks day one of proper eating, and being back on the road to my comfortable weight.

But first, scratches and banking.......and coffee!

Note to self: pay more attention to what you're reading then you won't sit there wondering why Hypno is giving someone a little reindeer :rudolf:

Have a good day all :)

Does everyone not have a reindeer about their person, then gallygirl :rotfl:

20p on the scratch - virgin is not awake yet, so will revisit there later. Banking doesn't show anything unexpected which is always a good start. I did fill the car up with petrol last night - £53  but I am going to see if I can make that last all month - again, it will give me a good idea of where I am spending the money, and what constitutes a realistic set of budgets.
