Not sure KC, but I am glad I am having the urge to declutter, rather than the urge to allow useless tat into the house!!
The sun has been shining this afternoon too - always helps (even if it does highlight how beyond repair the sealed units are in the windows!).Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hi Hypno, just finished finished day 7 of 28 days yoga. It is feeling better when I'm doing the exercises, and starting to feel the benefits of working and stretching muscles I normally ignore. Hope you manage to fit yours in aswell today.
Diet still going ok despite doing the fridge clearout, well with it being perishables I need to get through there's lots of salad & veg mainly, so at least a healthy basis to it. I think the weight loss has slowed down a bit though, but with having to use clothes rather than scales to measure it, it's not precise!!
Talking of buying things to slim into, I'd been dieting and there was a sale in Stratford upon Avon, and tried on some trousers which were tight to fasten, and looked a little bulgy, couldn't resist the bargain as they were Moschino reduced from 269 to 29!!!! Anyway brought them out with me, and now they fit perfectly, well except I need to get the length sorted now, even with heels they're too long, so will do as soon as I get back properly to England. They're linen type fabric, so will be super for the summer
Enjoy your new wardrobe, and do treat yourself to nice things to go in it, you did say you were going to allow yourself occasional treats. I use the outlet villages and TKMaxx a lot, sometimes there's nothing there, but the next time there can be something really special.
I've tried looking in charity shops, but no luck so far, although I've a friend back in England who wants to go 'girlie' shopping, and says she knows some good ones. A couple of years ago I used ebay a lot and got really nice things there at good prices, but I think it's more difficult to do that now.0 -
That is excellent news about being able to fit into those trousers, Se - bet you felt great when you put them on :T
I am down to the last couple of loads of washing (am always amazed at how much we produce between us!) and then I can do a final clothes audit. I will also try and do the same with boots and shoes over the next day or so, then I can really work out what I need and start looking out for the right things at the right prices. I tend to stay away from ebay etc because I need to try things on, otherwise I just end up with even more that doesn't fit me or that I don't really like.....:o
I've also thrown away a handbag - it is beyond its best and I've not liked it for a while.....so into the bin it has gone.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
I've only bought things on ebay where I know the make, so I know what their sizings are normally like, which minimised the risk of not fitting. I prefer trying them on too, but it was when I was travelling with OH's work, to a country far more expensive than the UK (why doesn't OH work in cheaper countries?), so it was either that or spend all our breaks back home shopping which isn't one of my favorite passtimes anyway. There were odd disasters, but saved enough overall for it to be worthwhile at the time. But ebay seems to be just so much more expensive to buy from the last time I looked for anything.
I do tend to overstock on classic wardrobe basics when I see them at the right price, as when I find I need them I can never find the right thing at the right price, and it wastes a lot of time & money and you sometimes end up with something not quite right because you need it urgently.
Well done on the clearout so far Hypno.0 -
Well doen on the clear out. I hate clothes shopping. Really, really hate shoe shopping, give me a pair of wellies anyday.

Some very good friends have just been round for a couple of hours, bearing profiteroles and clotted cream.........perfect
Am now eating my "leftovers" concoction, which is rather tasty, I have to say......and the profiteroles will see me through the rest of the evening rather nicely.
I've bagged up the charity shop stuff, and the stuff for the clothing bank and will head out tomorrow to ensure that they leave the house.....otherwise they will sit in my room for ever, and that won't achieve anything.
Hope you all have a good evening xSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

It's not been bad at all - had a little self indulgent wobble this morning but picked myself up and got on with the day, with great success.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. It is not self-indulgent, but is to be expected. Be kind to yourself, and cutting yourself some slack when you're human is all part of that.but picked myself up and got on with the day, with great success.
