Flipping heck, so it is. Thankfully I don't think too many people ever think of looking for green bullets in a can...DD is also without a bed, as is the spare room. DS has a cabin bed which is not full size, so I don't think that would be any better than the sofa.

I'm with Hypno on the sofa thing - I've slept on a flat sofa thats long enough to stretch out on, and a small bed - and I'll take the sofa any day, its much more relaxing. I just wish I could be as relaxed at the mo...........2023: the year I get to buy a car0

If DS's bed was uncomfortable, then he would have complained by now. The sofa is uncomfortable - see previous testimony.

My sofa is too old, short and uncomfortable for anything more than dozing in front of the telly, the futon in son's 'office' on the other hand is the best thing I've ever slept on.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Good morning Hypno. I remember years ago at the end of my first marriage moving into an old house with my DD, and my first night was slept on a mattress on the living room floor as my bedroom was still being decorated. That, I have to say, was the best night's sleep I had had for a long time. Happy Valentine's day, hope you are showing yourself a bit of well-earned love and attention. (You could I suppose post the tinned Brussels sprouts back to the person who got them in the first place, unless you want to try the Chinese-style bubble and squeak?)One life - your life - live it!0

Hi Hypno- i am a couch devotee myself. But the best nights sleep i usually get, are from an air bed- i always sleep well on them. If you have one or can borrow one- preferably a double one, then i think you will sleep very well.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

He has - lots......it is on the list of things "to do"........:o It is far too small for him......I am a bad mother
I have decided to clear out my wardrobe - when OH left he took his clothes from the built in wardrobe thereby freeing up space, but took both chests of drawers......so at the time I just chucked the stuff from my chest of drawers into the newly vacated space in the wardrobe.....
Now I have decided to have a proper clear out - I have taken everything "non hanging" and put it in a big pile in the middle of the bedroom floor (having no bed does have some advantages!) and have sorted through to make more ordered piles including "charity shop" and "clothing bank" (which is the biggest pile, after "ski stuff" I am ashamed/pleased to say!).
I'm not going skiing again this season, so my ski stuff can be stored in a plastic box or one of those bags you hoover the air out of (I'm sure I've got one somewhere) and be put out of the way for another few months.
That will leave me with the stuff that both fits me, and which I wear.....and I have to say there is not a huge amount of that, so it should make the shelves in the wardrobe a little easier to navigate in the mornings!
Then this afternoon I will do the "hanging" stuff - that is generally much better quality, work stuff etc.....but most of it either doesn't fit (and is unlikely to either) or I am just plain bored with because I have had it for so many years. So I am going to have a mass "charity shop" donation and a fresh start with all but a few favoured pieces.......Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. That sounds great, to be honest! And I had to laugh again at your finale to the bed discussion, *lots* of images of DS complaining about his wonderful mother.... never mind, you *know* thats your job, don't you?
