I lived with a Chinese girl at uni one year and she flash-fried some brussel sprouts with some powder that looks like chicken stock (it was chicken-based) and it was one of the nicest things I have ever tasted in my life. I would be happy to eat it every day of the week. Worth a try, maybe?!

Right tis time to discover what I have learned from my years on MSE. This is a sort of myown version of the £10 to £10,000 challenge .

DS turned 18 a few months ago and I've just got him to open a second bank account for me to play with for him. I'm planning on doing all the easy (and same household friendly) matched betting starter accounts and am thinking what else I can use it for. Unlike my own money making this account will be totally seperate to any other money and when there's a decent sum in there we will split the profits (or buy a decent car between us). So any ideas -throw them my way please.

duchy, if you have time on your hands you can sign him up for the surveys etc too - it won't be as quick and easy as the betting sites and scratches, so I would probably stick to them first.....

It reminds me of a report I heard on the radio yesterday saying that a debt charity had reported that more people were "turning to gambling" to clear their debts.......

Of course, they think of all those who do free bingo, matched betting, casino bagging, etc as a way of getting free money to clear debts, as those who are "turning to gambling".....if only they knew!

I did get more sleep last night (combination of yoga and nytol) but have obviously slept very awkwardly (still on the sofa, waiting for my bed to be delivered) and my shoulders ache - not a yoga-induced-ache, but a slept-scrunched-up-ache..........bah

Today I will potter about I think - do bits in the house, go for a walk (is icy, won't commit to a run at this stage) soak in the bath etc.....

but first, scratches and more coffee.

Enjoy your weird food combo's, not sure about tinned sprouts, not something I've ever seen but if you google it, this thread is on the first page :eek:so I'm not the only person who googled it to see where on earth you could get them.

DD is also without a bed, as is the spare room. DS has a cabin bed which is not full size, so I don't think that would be any better than the sofa.

Hopefully my bed will arrive in the next week or two.........thankfully my sofa is huge, so it is not too bad - just not quite what I am used to!
