    I'd love to do a self build here, but the plot's are far too expensive.

    We sometimes look at houses right at our limit, and like you it's a case of hoping it's not 'the dream' and irresistable :)

    You will probably have a headache from the paint - I know I always do. If it is the paint try a sniff of Olbas Oil to soothe the sinuses and head.

    Just caught up Hypno - I'm so impressed with all the painting and well done for finding all that paint stashed away! We need to finish our kitchen/dining room that we started 18 months ago :mad:. Maybe I should stop nagging OH and do it myself - or threaten to do it, that might be enough ;)

    So sorry to hear about the bank - that's so pathetic and I'm very glad they won't be charging you.
