Last weekend, my DS and his mates painted his room, for the second time in a year! Bad news, if I ever go to sell, it's very red, so round here that limits it to half the population (football thing) ; good news, he's realised it makes the rest of the house look bad so has promised to do some rooms for me. Main one I want doing is hall and landing, it hasn't been done for years. Big tin of cheap white emulsion is called for I think!

I love gloss painting, find it really relaxing. Emulsion is ok but this house has high ceilings so its constant up and down ladders.

My bathroom was done with cheap white emulsion with a drop of fountain pen ink in it. Much cheaper than buying 'hint of...... ' paint.

Walls done......they are tiled up to waist height, so only half walls to do really, and only one coat because it was the same colour as was on there already, so only needed a freshen up.

But yes, I will ache tomorrow I am sure....up and down that step ladder, and reaching over the shower cubicle to the far corners will surely do wonders for my flabby thighs and dinner lady arms.....:cool:

I really need to gloss the woodwork as well - will see how I feel in a little while....coffee calls now though
