Surfbabe really sorry for your loss of your mum. And shaun I hope that your dad is better soon.

Hypno well done on actually going and finding the paint, rather than not bothering. That is such a good mind set to be in. Good luck with the painting. I have never actually painted my own place. Is it hard?

chev - painting is not hard as long as you take care over it. Those that don't like doing it, generally rush the job and don't get a good finish. I enjoy painting, but OH has always hated it, and would only do it if he really had to, which was never because I always did it!

macgirl - I did 33 mins - steady jog - but I didn't stop. I had two early get out options, which I went straight past. Did momentarily consider going past the third get out option, but then thought I would rather get round without stopping and feel good about that fact, instead of try and go further, when I would probably have to stop on the long incline it included, and would then feel less good because I had not run all the way round.

    Yaaayy!!! :T:T:T
I'm out of breath just reading that last sentence! :rotfl:

Good for you though, at least you know you can do it - 33 minutes a few times a week would be great. As we both know - that is the hard part....

I am going to pledge to aim for a run this evening and definitely on Wednesday, otherwise it'll be Friday before I can go again. That's my problem, there's always too long a gap between outings - so we should give each other a nudge. ;)

Well done though - it's a great start to the day!

I think Wednesday evening is my next real opportunity too - so shall we make it a running date?

I just want to be able to get up to an hour/5 or 6 miles quite easily again, as a nice cheap way to get a bit fitter, and run off a bit of stress a few times a week. Hopefully in 3 or 4 weeks I will be up to that which will take me nicely into the lighter evenings.

Right off to have a shower......

Excellent! I need to aim for three times a week, which I am sure will do me a huge amount of good.

Am showered, so less smelly, and have porridge cooking, so very healthy.....I am going to get myself fit and well on as many levels as possible, in order to give me the energy to deal with the "bigger" stuff that is going on around me.

    I can do this....

    Good morning Hypno,

Well done on the run. :T

Going to sort myself out with a schedule for next week to make sure I prioritise the exercise & the yoga. Currently going with the flow, so things just get put off until the next day. Hope your yoga video arrives Wednesday.

Still busy doing scratchies etc here,

Have a good day all :)

I've had an email saying my DVD has been dispatched, so it should be with me fairly early in the week, which is good.

DS has been offered a lift to his football match this morning, so that has been gratefully accepted, and makes my day much easier. I am going to veg for an hour or so then don my paintbrush and tackle the en-suite.....

You said you were allowing a little more slack in the budget at least for Feb, I know when I'm on a 'healthy' eating spree it can be nice to allow extra healthy treats in the shopping basket, that normally I would count as too expensive. e.g. More fresh fish (admittedly I still check what's on special) and exotic fruit & veg.
