You will notice on HUKD that a few are sticking by their legal right and Argos are backing down, the buyer is enforcing the contract and the vendor is having to accept this. People have called and have insisted they want the item, not the money and are getting the item. Take a look at post 674 on there, p45.

Well I have just come off the phone from the call centre manager 'Eric Smith' who stated that if I'm not happy I should take it further. Great customer service!

Agreed that they had despatched it and taken payment but will still not supply at that price.

Can you use money claim online to pursue this? How would you sue for the difference between the sale and now price, i.e. £70?

Hi one and all

on another subject but about ARGOS
what is the email adress for MD or postal address

all it is i brought a pink digital camera which also had the 1/2 price sd card for my daughter who has just had a birthday and the lcd screen was not very clear when i first opened checked and took a photo(you couldnt see what u were taking).
as there was not much internel memory i had to use the sd card(who was to know camera faulty).
any how as this was the first time i used it and felt unfit for purpose i took back to argos under the soga.(not the 30 dmbg as exempt)
they would refund the camera but not sd card but wanted to take the other half off the sd card off the refund
they said the sd card was not fit for resale but i said as it was brought in the pakage that i sh be refunded the package
i saidi was happy with vouchers but had paid cash and even that i was happy to keep the sd card but how can they charge me full price for the card???
They have said they will send the camera off as i was unhappy with losing the extra off.

I was under the impression on your receipt, that it states if you received this item with another offer. Then the full offer has to be returned to them. For example you receive a free game with a console, or you receive a five pound gift card for spending 50 pound. I think i would point out that this should work both ways, you would not be returning it if the camera was not faulty. They cannot have it all there way. It was bought as a package deal and should be returned as a package. You sound like you have a jobs worth manager at your store very much like ours. I would send an email and complain to customer services, i am sure they will not argue the point at such a low value item.

yet to contact argos as being honest i have not a clue when it comes to things like this

bottom line is there anything i can do, what should i say if argos call or if i ring them ? there is lots of info on here but i cannot sort out the best bits so yes im confused
