  • Yes, be concise; what has happened to others, what you feel, what you think of the vendor are all irrelevant and will weaken your argument (not in reality but in impact and simplicity).

You argument is that of an enforcable contract and your argument is strong in your favour. This does not mean that vendor A will simply capitulate, as the process of acceptance by them can generate a floodgates scenario which will implicate them further. However, the law is on your side here (assuming you made a telephone order and received an order number/delivery number, not simply a text/online/phone reservation to collect in store).

You are welcome to PM me a letter and I will look at it, but, I am studying for a set of exams that begin in 3 weeks and my time on here is a little 15 min diversion every 2 hours (a treat if you will!). So, if I do not respond to you quickly, I am not ignoring you, I simply have my head in a book.

Thank you, that would be great if you could spare 5 mins to look it over. Will PM you Monday morning, as won't get the chance to do the letter with the kids around this weekend. Thank you so much again and yes, best of luck with your exams. :D

Ill be finding out in the next hour or so if the money has been taken for the order which I am sure it has. My order reads the same as urs as despatched for delivery on the 31st which never arrived. I have had noone contact me to say it was cancelled.

The Gabusa website looks like a really good way of losing £99.99. I would personally avoid it at all costs!

Anyone that ordered will have had the money taken [me included]. When Argos discovered the error, their top priority would have been to minimise their own losses, certainly not an effort to stop payment being taken from customers. Argos then expect us to wait 7 days to have it returned which is a joke.

The agent that phoned me even made out as if I was quite lucky getting a full refund including the postage and I was getting a good deal to not lose the postage!

My money was taken at order. I spoke to my credit card company yesterday and it was taken immediately, and has not been refunded. My order is still being displayed as dispatched on their website telephone tracking and no-one rang me to tell me it was cancelled either. All in the same boat!

Debtmess, I think you will be hearing from them. I am sure people from Argos legal team are reading this very thread, along with the HUKD one.

Thanks again Cheshire Carper, I am going to write this weekend, when finished would you mind if I forward you a copy for your perusal before sending? From your advice it appears I should keep it simple & to the point and I know I have a tendency to deviate! And any constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Not a problem if not :-)
If you wouldnt mind could i see a copy please as need to write to them and what address please and whoom are we sending these to ?

I'm going to write mine Monday morning and was going to send it to Sara Weller the MD of Argos in Milton Keynes. It was her team I rang on Wednesday.
