I know you what you mean Debtmess.

I think the basic thing is that once they took your money a contract was formed. They will argue that a contract is only formed once you receive this item. This is not the case. Even if you read their very own T&Cs it states that a contract is formed on Dispatch. Your item was dispatched. So either way they are in the wrong!!

I don't think they know how to handle this to be honest. Like I said earlier I am sure they are reading these posts and it is a damage limitation exercise, but I for one won't be giving up easily.

I am going to put a letter together to their HO, Cheshire_Carper kindly said if he has a couple of minutes on Monday, he will look over it for me, so I am happy to help you with it too if you want me to.

Email customer services, but state you want a reply from a customer service manager. The email link is on there website. i would also quote your receipt that says it is a package deal. Tell them it is useless to you without the camera.

DSi and Mario and Sonic at The Olympic Games for 100 pounds.

Easily the equal of this deal.

This is indeed a scam site. They get your credit card details then say theres a problem and cancel your order. Then large amounts of money leave your account via western union, buyer beware!!!!
  • I ordered two by phone on different order numbers and had them cancelled by phone on the morning of the 31st. (delivery due afternoon of 31st) Got my tracking numbers this morning but HDNL show only parcel data recieved. Does this mean that Argos are in breach of contract even if my parcels did not reach the van or not since they took my money?
