(delivery due afternoon of 31st) Got my tracking numbers this morning but HDNL show only parcel data recieved. Does this mean that Argos are in breach of contract even if my parcels did not reach the van or not since they took my money?
From the information I've been given on here and from doing a bit of research myself last night, it appears that in contract law a contract is conceived once the order has been processed on the telephone and payment has been taken. If you read some of the previous posts from MSEr's in the know, the issue of whether it was dispatched or not, is irrelevant.0 -
are you guys sending these letters by recorded signed for delivery or a diff method?:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:0

Dunno what to do now. I called Argos CS twice today and was told the same thing. They are only gonna refund me as they have everyone else, they claimed they havent honoured or comprimised for anyone who placed an order. They dont wanna budge and are lying through their effing teeth.0

I've just called and have been told there was a "warehouse error".
The woman has given me a refund but I'm still writing to Head Office to complain, no idea if it will get me anywhere but hey.0 -

No Debtmess, I have rang HDNL, that means that the SUPPLIER (Argos) refused to have it delivered, they put a Stop and Return on it and now have admitted it. Not you refusing to receive it.
Good, more ammunition to use!0 -
Sorry to post myself again but I was at the bottom of the last page and never seem to get read when that happens.
Just called about my order which was due to get here today, there had apparently been a "warehouse error". I've been given a refund but I'd rather the DS! Can I still press for one or is it pointless? I'm writing to Watchdog and the MD anyway because I'm still not impressed with it.0 -

Did you order yours over the phone by for Home Delivery? Then if you read back over the thread it will give you some ideas of how & what everyone is doing. But most people are writing to the Argos MD Sara Weller, Watchdog & the Trading Standards Authority as Argos are in breach of contract by doing this.0
