Bad grammar REALLY bothers me, but there's no need to point it out so rudely. We understood what the poster said, and they didn't use any "txt speak" so where's the problem?

As a passive bystander, I'll tell you what bothers me about this for me personally. Whenever I see a good deal on Argos now, I'm going to wonder whether it's even worth my walk to town, in case they've changed their minds by the time I get there! There's a total loss of faith as far as I'm concerned now.

And if I had paid for the DSi, I'd be spitting nails by now! Luckily I never saw any of this until it was all over. To those of you who did pay and have them despatched, I say fight hard and keep us updated!

The point you make is exactly the reason this should be fought. The case is eminently winnable.

I will update you with any progress I make here, a little busy with other things atm.

@ big lugs, eezy and whoever owns the AE 'getsemail'......can we please keep this thread as a place for support and information?

It's a bit of a pain when the thread gets interrupted by sniping and I wouldn't like people to miss something useful just because of the 'less useful' posts. ;)

    Cheers guys.

I have just contacted trading standards. They did say the loss of bargain, only applies if I could have also bought from another shop at the same price. Then I remembered some people had manged to buy on the same day from comet and john lewis, to help our case against Argos, it would be useful to have any evidece of this.

Now I'm happy to be corrected but I thought loss of bargain only applied when you couldn't get the same item for the same price elsewhere. Hence loss of bargain and that's why companies who are forced into this, have to either supply the item or give you the difference between what you would have paid to them and what you would have to pay to someone else.

I agree with your version aliasojo but am sure that Mr Beckett will confirm shortly:beer:
