I'm just off the phone to Argos Head Office MD team. I was told if the item had been dispatched, the contract was formed and they would not be able to not supply.

If yours had been 'recalled' then that suggests dispatch had ocurred and I'd be on the phone tbh.

(But I did say I was bored and I was like a dog with a bone mind. )

The main one, said I didn't have a tracking number so gave them my postcode. They said it was delivered into their depot at 8pm last night but was recalled this morning. They have still taken the money off my credit card. I have just rang Argos Customer Services but their system has crashed so I have to ring back in 15 minutes.

I am very mad. I too have got the number for the MD of Argos and will be ringing up. This was not just a website error, the price was £79.99 on their website, check & reserve system and I also clarified it with their Home Delivery service before purchasing. This was showing as a sale item. And they took immediate payment. It is still showing as dispatched on their website for me too.

Same boat here, waited in all morning and just had phone call to say not coming - technical error.

Someone is supposed to be phoning me back - not sure what the point of that is!

if we have paid and had the money taken surely they cannot do that ? otr maybe they can

i paid via electron im not up on how it all works but surely they have created the contracts as such for sleling them

Phoned back from their resolution team and was told none had been sent out they only said despatched because they were waiting to be sent out. I told her I didn't believe her that I was aware they had despatched them and recalled them. I have asked for them to put it in writing either by mail or email that the item was never despatched and recalled. she quoted some right she said they had to cancel orders and I told her that I had not been quoted ant t&cs when I phoned and that consumer law/contract law does not rely on their t&cs.

Supposedly waiting for another call back. Will look up paper work for small claims court and also the ASA advertising standards agency may also be agoo done to look at as their online advert of a sale price of £79.99 was very misleading.

Sorry to see more peeps have been let down.

I'm sat here wondering just how many times I could reserve something. They might not be selling it to me at £79.99 but I could maybe make sure they aint selling it to anyone else at £149.99 either. :rotfl:

Lol, didn't think I'd be overly annoyed if it didn't come but its like chewing a fruit pastile once you start you just cant stop!
