Thank you hopefully that means mine will arrive wanted a ds to put away for ds who will be 5 this year but this was even better (wonder if there is a cheeky way of swapping for a normal ds and some games though)

Ok...just because I'm ever the optimist, I got someone to check the reservation for me instore at the self serve machine. Price was £149.99 as I suspected.

Oh well. *grumble, grumble*.

just to let you know that some Argos are still honouring the price from yesterday - I reserved two in Reading, went to collect and they did a price override with no problems, they then couldn't find the black ones so I asked if I could have White instead and I'm now the proud owner of two DSi in white.

Unbelievable. I'm happy for you bladerunner but even more annoyed that they all seem to have different versions of what to do.

I called Argos and just queried why later orders were being sent out whilst mine was earlier and was cancelled. (I know there was no point but I have time on my hands today and I'm bored :rolleyes:). Bloke said he really couldn't comment about that but added that all those who got consoles sent out will have to pay the difference.

I burst out laughing and told him he really shouldn't be manning a customer service line if he has no clue about consumer rights. :rotfl:

Its luck of the draw with stores honouring prices, it was an absolute no to me yesterday.

They wouldn't do that for me yesterday instore. You obviously were lucky. It is obviously dependant on the time each branch manager read their email. What makes me laugh is that there is no black DSi stock hardly anywhere, even at £149.99 now - so they must have sold them off yesterday at the £79.99 price.

Also, when I went instore and reserved one for collection they still had them at Maidstone & Sittingbourne. Maidstone had them in but refused to sell them at the £79.99 even though it was still showing on their website as a sale price. Surprisingly there is now no stock showing for Maidstone or Sittingbourne even at the higher price. Wonder if the staff got them - I would have if I worked there?
