They can write what they like in there T&C's, it doesn't mean that they're legal. I don't think they would stand in court, but who's going to bother to take argos to court over £70 knocked off a DSi?

Anyone who has ordered from Argos before know if the order status updates when its despatched mine says:
We'll deliver your order on Thursday 31st December 2009
7:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Will this change to despatched or does it just stay like this?

Your statutory rights supercede those terms. You could take the to court if you wanted to, but this would cost more than the full priced Nintendo DSi, this is why Argos are able force you to either cancel the order, or pay full price.

"Reading Oxford Rd branch have a stack of them at the collection point with a banner advertising them at £79.99 - which kinda indicates they were not just a web-site mis-price. Anyway managed to reserve & collect for that price - kudos to the OP for spotting this!!"

are you sure they can cancel telephone orders as they have already taken the money and told me the price was correct?
