I just called my cc company to see if the money had actually been taken or just reserved to be taken at a later point. It had only been reserved.

Argos are a huge company, and so communication between different entities within the company could be slow and inefficient - hence some stores not even getting the memo. It might not be a quick job to rectify a pricing error on the website, and a whole host of other reasons such as not being able to get in touch with the right person due to on holiday for example.

Oh well made the shop but no go, manageress said HO have told them not to honour it even though I had the reservation on my phone. Am at my mums now and forgot my tracking number online so cant check online order.

I have just been to two branches today. One didn't have stock but still had £79.99 on their system and didn't bat an eyelid that it was at that price. They then found stock for me at another branch, but on the way there I got a phone message saying it was the wrong price and would only be sold to me for £149.99.

I still went in and showed her that it was still showing up as £79.99 on their website but seeing as I hadn't reserved or paid for it - I couldn't really do anything about it!

Apparently emails went out today to each branch manager and it was dependant whether they had read them or not as to whether each branch realised. She didn't have an answer as to why it was still showing up on their website at that price at 4.30pm!
