It looks like they rang him back immediately though. Hoping if you ordered a long time ago they will honour it. I have never been on HUDK before, there seems loads of people on there saying their Argos store let them pick it up this morning.

That is so weird, it is back on their website again!
Well, you'll see on HUKD that I managed to pick one up.

Admittedly, Leighton Buzzard store is a little "provincial" shall we say.

They started the day with 5 in stock. I picked mine up around 10am. Our store in all fairness is usually rubbish at reading the emails / taking notice of store notices but then they rarely have anything decent in stock.

I would guess that the flagship store (near head office, MK) and the extra at Bletchley probably won't allow you to get away with this.
The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.

  • Where did you get it price matched.
  • I reserved one by phone to pick up at local store.
They phoned me about an hour ago to say there was a mistake in the pricing so i wouldn't be getting it for that price if I came in.
  • currys should do a price match

I doubt Curry's will do it because the terms say Argos must have stock available to purchase at that price, which they don't, online anyway.

Yes they can cancel the order, but they can't add £70 to the price after you have provided payment and confirmed the order.

The price will be honoured if you have already ordered with payment. They can't increase the price of your order once you have accepted it and provided payment details.

As some are saying, they aren't always honouring the low price in store when reserving without payment.

yes they can , they can also refuse you when u go into store

there was a glitch the other week , i paid for items had confirmation email and delivery date , and the evening before delivery they called me and said sorry the item you hhave ordered was priced in correctly , you have 2 choices to pay the coreect price or cancel order.
they had taken money from my account but refunded 2 days later after i said no i do not want at that price ,
so even if they do take money from account they can still charge you full price , but they will ask you first

do they HAVE to honour the misprice considering I paid by card over the phone?

it's still showing on the website for me, with an error on buy/reserve button, like earlier...

      no as above
